Ryan Miller has been tapped to score the upcoming indie drama The Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving. The film is written and directed by Rob Burnett (The Late Show with David Letterman) and stars Paul Rudd, Selena Gomez, Jennifer Ehle and Craig Roberts. The movie is based on the novel of the same title by Jonathan Evison and centers on the touching friendship between a caregiver and a frustrated teenager who is the advance stages with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Donna Gigliotti (Silver Linings Playbook, Shakespeare in Love, The Reader) is producing the project with James Spies (Big Stone Gap). Miller who is best known as the lead singer of the alternative rock band Guster has previously scored such films as Colin Trevorrow’s Not Safety Guaranteed, Lake Bell’s In a World… and Jordan Vogt-Roberts’ The Kings of Summer. The Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving is currently in post-production and is expected to premiere in 2016.
