Ramin Djawadi has been hired to score the live-action family film African Safari 3D. The movie diredted by Ben Stassen follows an expedition from the “Skeleton” coast in Namibia all the way to the top of Kiliminjaro. Stassen is producing the film with Eric Dillen for his Belgium-based production company nWave Pictures. The project marks Stassen’s first live-action feature project. Djawadi has previously composed the music for numerous nWave films, including the animated features Fly me to the Moon 3D, 2010’s A Turtle’s Tale: Sammy’s Adventures and the upcoming Sammy’s Adventures 2, which is set to be released in several European markets this summer.
African Safari 3D, which has a reported production budget of $17.2 Mio. is expected later this year.
Djawadi who is coming off scoring the second season of the critically acclaimed HBO hit show Game of Thrones and the first season of the CBS hit series Person of Interest, as well as Universal Pictures’ Safe House also has Guillermo Del Toro’s anticipated monster film Pacific Rim coming out in 2013.
