Music Box Records has announced a soundtrack release for last year’s film adaptation of La Nouvelle Guerre des Boutons (War of the Buttons). The album includes the original score from the movie composed by Philippe Rombi (Swimming Pool). For audio clips and to pre-order the album, visit the label’s website. La Nouvelle Guerre des Boutons is directed by Christophe Barratier (The Chorus, Paris 36) and stars Laeticia Casta, Kad Merad, Guillame Canet and Gerard Jugnot. The movie was released in France last fall. The Weinstein Company has reportedly been in negotiations to pick up domestic rights for a release in the US later this year. The label has also announced two other limited edition soundtrack albums, among them the world premiere CD release of the score for the 1974 drama Visit to a Chief’s Son directed by Lamont Johnson.
