Joseph LoDuca (The Evil Dead, Xena: Warrior Princess, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Chucky, Spartacus: Blood and Sand) is returning to score the new TNT original series The Librarians: The Next Chapter. The spinoff of the Librarians television and film franchise created by David Titcher stars Callum McGowan, Jessica Green, Olivia Morris and Bluey Robinson. Christian Kane is reprising his role as Jacob Stone in a guest starring role. The show centers on a “Librarian” from the past who returns to his castle in Belgrade, Serbia as he finds himself stuck in the present and inadvertently releases magic across the continent when he discovers that his former residence is now a museum. Dean Devlin (Independence Day, Stargate) serves as the project’s showrunner and is also executive producing the Electric Entertainment production with Marc Roskin & Rachel Olschan-Wilson (Leverage, Bad Samaritan). LoDuca has previously scored the original The Librarians television movies (Quest for the Spear, Return to King Solomon’s Mines & Curse of the Judas Chalice), as well as all episodes of the original The Librarians series, which ran between 2014 and 2018. The Librarians: The Next Chapter will premiere this Sunday, May 25 on TNT.
LoDuca also continues to score Electric Entertainment’s Leverage: Redemption, which just returned for its third season last month.
