Mychael Danna (Life of Pi, Moneyball, Capote, Where the Crawdads Sing) & Jessica Rose Weiss (The Independent, Dog Gone TroubleDon’t Make Me Go) have teamed up to score the new comedy No Hard Feelings. The film is directed by Gene Stupnitsky (Good Boys, Bad Teacher) and stars Jennifer Lawrence, Andrew Feldman, Natalie Morales, Laura Benanti, Hasan Minhaj and Matthew Broderick. The movie follows a young woman who is struggling financially when she discovers an intriguing job listing: wealthy helicopter parents looking for someone to “date” their introverted 19-year-old son and bring him out of his shell before he leaves for college. Stupnitsky also co-wrote the screenplay with John Phillips (Dirty Grandpa). Lawrence is also producing the project with Alex Saks (The Florida Project, Wildlife), Naomi Odenkirk (Lucky Hank), Marc Provissiero (Nobody, PEN15) and Justine Ciarrocchi (Causeway). Danna & Weiss have previously co-scored 2021’s Cinderella. No Hard Feelings will be released in theaters nationwide on June 23, 2023 by Sony Pictures.

Weiss’ other recent projects include Nicol Paone’s comedic thriller The Kill Room starring Uma Thurman, Samuel L. Jackson, Joe Manganiello & Maya Hawke. A release in late 2023 or 2024 is expected.
