Premiering on Wednesday, February 13 is the YouTube Premium original anthology series Weird City created by Jordan Peele & Charlie Sanders and starring Dylan O’Brien, Awkwafina, Michael Cera, Rosario Dawson, Steven Yeun, Ed O’Neil, Hannah Simone, Gillian Jacobs, Laverne Cox, Mark Hamill, Yvette Nicole Brown, Auli’i Cravalho and Trevor Jackson. Premiering on Friday, February 15 is the Netflix original series The Umbrella Academy developed by Steve Blackman based on Gerard Way’s comics and graphic novels and starring Ellen Page, Tom Hopper, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, David Castañeda, Aidan Gallagher, Cameron Britton and Mary J. Also premiering on Friday is the Amazon original docu-series Lorena directed by Joshua Rofé, executive produced by Jordan Peele about the notorious case of John and Lorena Bobbitt that made international headlines. The 4-parter’s original music is composed by Julian Wass (Hit and Run, Room 104, InsatiableThe Miseducation of Cameron Post, The OvernightBlue Jay). Also premiering on Friday is the Disney Channel original movie Kim Possible directed by Adam B. Premiering on Friday in the U.S. is the Spanish comedy Yucatan directed by Daniel Monzon and starring Luis Tosar, Rodrigo de la Serna, Joan Pera and Stephanie Cayo. The film’s original music is composed by Roque Banos (Don’t BreatheIn the Heart of the SeaThe MachinistEvil DeadThe Commuter). Meliam Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last year when the movie opened overseas. Another movie premiering on Friday is the New Zealand comedy The Breaker Upperers written and directed by Madeleine Sami & Jackie van Beek who are also starring in the film with James Rolleston, Celia Pacquola and Ana Scotney. The movie doesn’t feature an original score and no soundtrack album has been released. The comedy produced by Taika Waititi opened in New Zealand theaters last year and will be available to stream in the U.S. exclusively on Netflix.
