Ruth Barrett has been tapped to score the upcoming BBC mini-series Collateral. The show is created by David Hare (The Hours, The Reader, Denial) and stars Carey Mulligan, John Simm, Nicola Walker and Billie Piper. The 4-parter thriller is set over four days in present-day London and explores the spiraling consequences of the fatal shooting of a pizza delivery man. S.J. Clarkson who previously collaborated with Barrett on last year’s Love, Nina is directing all episodes. He is also executive producing the project with Hare, George Faber & Mark Pybus for The Forge and Lucy Richer for the BBC. Collateral is expected to premiere in 2018 on BBC Two in the UK and on Netflix in the U.S.
Barrett (Harry Brown, Toast, Hunted) also recently scored the second season of ITV’s Victoria, which aired over the last couple of weeks in the UK.
