Varese Sarabande has announced a soundtrack release for Spike Lee’s upcoming mystery thriller Oldboy. The album features the film’s original score composed by Roque Banos (Evil Dead, The Machinist, Sexy Beast). The soundtrack will be released physically on December 10, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The full album details will be posted on this site within the next couple of weeks. Oldboy is based on Chan-wook Park’s acclaimed Korean film from 2003 and stars Josh Brolin, Samuel L. Jackson, Elizabeth Olsen and Sharlto Copley. The movie follows an advertising executive who is kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement. When he is inexplicably released, he embarks on an obsessive mission to discover who orchestrated his punishment. The movie will be released nationwide on November 27 by FilmDistrict.
