Milan Records will release the first official soundtrack album for Nicolas Winding-Refn’s 2009 Viking action adventure drama Valhalla Rising. The album features the film’s original music composed by Peter Peter and Peter Kyed. Also included are a number of cues by sound designers Giles Lamb and Douglas MacDougall. The soundtrack will be released overseas on October 7, 2013. Check back on this page for the details on the domestic release. Valhalla Rising starring Mads Mikkelsen, Alexander Morton, Stewart Porter, Maarten Stevenson, Matthew Zajac, Gary Lewis and Jamie Sives takes place in 1000 AD and follows a Norse warrior and chained prisoner who is forced to fight to the death for the entertainment of his captors. The British film was released in US theaters in 2010 by IFC Films and is now available on Blu-ray and DVD.
