Milan Records will release a second soundtrack album for the Netflix original film A Jazzman’s Blues. The album features the movie’s original score composed by Aaron Zigman (The Notebook, Bridge to Terabithia, Sex and the City, The Proposal, John Q, Wakefield, The Ugly Truth). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 23 and will be available to stream/download here. As previously reported, the label is also releasing a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie on the same day. A Jazzman’s Blues is written and directed by Tyler Perry and stars Joshua Boone, Amirah Vann, Solea Pfeiffer, Ryan Eggold, Austin Scott, Milauna Jemai Jackson, Brad Benedict, Brent Antonello, Kario Marcel and Lana Young. The drama tells a story of forbidden love and family secrets that reaches from the 1940s to the 1980s.

The full details of the soundtrack album for Tyler Perry’s drama A Jazzman’s Blues have been revealed. The album features the songs from the movie performed by cast members Joshua Boone, Amirah Vann and Austin Scott. Academy Award nominee Terence Blanchard (BlacKkKlansman, Malcolm X, 25th Hour) has arranged and produced most of the songs. Also included are two tracks from the movie’s original score composed by Aaron Zigman (The Notebook, John Q), as well as the original song Paper Airplanes (co-written by Blanchard and performed by Ruth B.), which has already been released as a digital single last month. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 23 by Milan Records and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services.

The movie is written and directed by Perry and stars Joshua Boone, Solea Pfeiffer, Amirah Vann, Austin Scott, Brent Antonello, Milauna Jackson, Kario Marcel, Brad Benedict, Lana Young and Ryan Eggold. The period drama is set from 1937-87 and centers on an investigation into an unsolved murder unveiling a story full of forbidden love, deceit and a secret that has been held for 40 years.

Brendan O’Carroll makes a guest appearance as Agnes Brown. The 12th installment in the Madea series centers around Madea’s great-grandson’s college graduation that hits a halt as hidden secrets and family drama threaten to destroy the happy homecoming.
Philip White Scoring Tyler Perry’s ‘Nobody’s Fool’
Philip White has recently scored the upcoming comedy Nobody’s Fool. The film is written and directed by Tyler Perry and stars Tiffany Haddish, Tika Sumpter, Omari Hardwick, Mehcad Brooks, Amber Riley and Whoopi Goldberg. The movie centers on a woman who is forced to accept that she may be getting “catfished” by an online boyfriend whom she has never met in person, when her wild sister gets released from prison and re-enters her life. Perry is also producing the comedy with Will Areu and Mark E. Swinton. Christopher Lennertz (Lost in Space, Horrible Bosses, Sausage Party) serves as the project’s score producer.

Elvin Ross is reuniting with Tyler Perry on the upcoming comedy Boo! A Madea Halloween. The film is written and directed by Perry who also stars in the film, alongside Cassi Davis, Patrice Lovely, Lexy Panterra, Yousef Erakat, Andre Hall, Brock O’Hurn and Bella Thorne. The movie follows Madea as she winds up in the middle of mayhem when she spends a haunted Halloween fending off killers, paranormal poltergeists, ghosts, ghouls and zombies while keeping a watchful eye on a group of misbehaving teens.
