Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Expected to top the weekend box office is the thriller Dunkirk directed by Christopher Nolan and starring Tom Hardy, Mark Rylance, Kenneth Branagh, Cillian Murphy, Fionn Whitehead, Aneurin Barnard, Harry Styles, James D’Arcy, Jack Lowden and Barry Keoghan. The film’s original music is composed by Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, Inception, Interstellar, Gladiator, The Lion King). Also opening wide is the fantasy adventure Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets directed by Luc Besson and starring Dane DeHaan, Cara Delevingne, Clive Owen, Rihanna, Ethan Hawke, Herbie Hancock, Kris Wu and Rutger Hauer. Alexandre Desplat (The Grand Budapest Hotel, The King’s Speech, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) has composed the film’s original music. EuropaCorp has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as songs by Alexiane, Julien Rey, David Bowie, Bob Marley & The Wailers & more.
