The Weinstein Company, Quentin Tarantino and Loma Vista Recordings have announced the details of the soundtrack release for Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained. The album features new original tracks, including 100 Black Coffins by Rick Ross and produced by and featuring Jamie Foxx, Who Did That To You? by John Legend, Ancora Qui by Honorary Academy Award-winning composer Ennio Morricone and Elisa, and the duet Freedom performed by Anthony Hamilton and Elayna Boynton. Also included is existing music used in the film, including tracks by Morricone, Jerry Goldsmith, Luis Bacalov and Riz Ortolani. The soundtrack will be released on December 18, 2012 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Django Unchained stars Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, 
Leonardo DiCaprio, Kerry Washington and Samuel L. Jackson.

‘Ludwig II’ Soundtrack Details
Bavaria Sonor Mediathek will release a soundtrack album for the German/Austrian costume drama Ludwig II. The album features the film’s original score written by Academy Award-nominated composer Bruno Coulais (The Chorus, Coraline) who recorded his music with the Munich Radio Orchestra. Also featured are some of the classical pieces featured in the movie. The soundtrack will be released in Germany on December 21, 2012. To listen to audio clips, click here. Ludwig II is directed by Peter Sehr (Love the Hard Way) and Marie Noelle and follows the life of the Bavarian king. The movie’s cast includes Sabin Tambrea, Sebastian Schipper, Hannah Herzsprung, Uwe Ochsenknecht and Edgar Selge who portrays Richard Wagner. Ludwig II is set to be released in Germany on December 26, 2012 by Warner Bros. Pictures.
‘West of Memphis’ Soundtrack Announced
Sony Legacy will release the official soundtrack album for the documentary West of Memphis. The album features music from and inspired by the film, including a cover of Pink Floyd’s Mother performed by Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks, Satellite by Eddie Vedder, as well as songs by artists including Lucinda Williams, Band of Horses, Patti Smith, Citizen Cope, Tonto’s Giant Nuts featuring Johnny Depp. Also included is a suite from the film’s original score composed by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis, as well as excerpts from Damien Echols’ letters from death row recited by Henry Rollins and Johnny Depp over the score. West of Memphis: Voices for Justice will be released physically on January 15, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. West of Memphis directed by Amy Berg (Deliver Us from Evil), produced by Peter Jackson & Fran Walsh (The Lord of the Rings), Lorri Davis and Damien Echols centers on the wrongful conviction case of three Arkansas teenagers who were found guilty in 1994 of the ritual murder of three eight-year-old boy.
‘The Fitzgerald Family Christmas’ Soundtrack Released
Bathing Suit Music has released a soundtrack album for Edward Burns’ indie comedy drama The Fitzgerald Family Christmas. The album features the film’s original score composed by P.T. Walkley who has previously worked together with Burns on such films as Newlyweds, The Groomsmen, Purple Violets and Nice Guy Johnny. Also included are the songs featured in the movie by artists including Michael Aarons, Christopher Jackson, Frannybird and The Traces. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon. Basil Poledouris’ Complete ‘Conan the Barbarian’ Soundtrack Announced
Intrada Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release of the complete score for the 1982 epic adventure Conan the Barbarian directed by John Milius and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger as Conan, James Earl Jones as Thulsa Doom and Sandahl Bergman as Valeria. The album includes the complete score composed by Basil Poledouris (Robocop, Starship Troopers), as well as the original 1982 soundtrack album and a number of alternates. The 3-CD set is now available to order on Intrada’s website, where you can also check out audio clips and the full track list.
‘Silent Night’ Soundtrack Released
Pale Blue Records has released a soundtrack album for the horror thriller Silent Night. The album features the film’s original score composed by Kevin Riepl (Aliens: Colonial Marines, ABCs of Death). The soundtrack is now available to download on iTunes, where you can also listen to audio clips. Silent Night is directed by Steven C. Miller and stars Malcolm McDowell, Jaime King, Donal Logue, Lisa Marie, Brendan Fehr and Ellen Wong. The movie follows a small-town sheriff and deputy on the hunt for a murderous Santa Claus terrorizing their community on Christmas Eve. The film will be released theatrically in select cities this Friday, November 30 by Anchor Bay.
New Soundtrack Editions for ‘Die Hard With a Vengeance’, ‘The Untouchables’ and ‘Home Alone 2’ Announced
La-La Land Records has announced three new limited soundtrack editions. First up is a release of the expanded score for the 1995 action thriller sequel Die Hard With A Vengeance directed by John McTiernan and starring Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson and Jeremy Irons. The 2CD-set feature the score composed by Michael Kamen (Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Lethal Weapon) as written for the film, as well as several rejected cues. The album is limited to 4000 copies. ‘Leap of Faith’ Broadway Cast Recording Album Announced
Ghostlight Records will release the official cast recording album for the Broadway musical Leap of Faith. The album features the musical’s songs composed by multiple Academy Award-winning composer Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid) and lyrics by Glenn Slater. Leap of Faith is based on the 1992 film of the same name starring Steve Martin (and featuring a score by Cliff Eidelman) and centers on a con man who is posing as a man of faith and who is redeemed by the love of a good woman. The Tony Award-nominated musical scripted by Janus Cercone and Warren Leight premiered in Los Angeles in 2010 and opened on Broadway this past April.
‘Any Day Now’ Soundtrack Details
Lakeshore Records has announced a soundtrack album for the indie drama Any Day Now. The album features the songs featured in the film performed by artists including France Joli, Betty Padgett, The Honey Cone, Teddy Rabb, Marty Balin, Thelma Houston, Rufus Wainwright and actor Alan Cumming. Also included are two tracks from the score composed by Joey Newman (The Middle). The soundtrack will be released on December 11, 2012. Check back on this site for audio clips. Any Day Now is directed by Travis Fine and stars Alan Cumming, Garret Dillahunt, Isaac Leyva, Frances Fisher and Chris Mulkey. The movie follows a gay couple who takes in a teenager with Down syndrome. The movie premiered at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival and has been picked up by Music Box Films for a theatrical release on December 14, 2012.
‘A Very Eureka Christmas’ Soundtrack Announced
Back Lot Music will release a new soundtrack album for the Syfy original series Eureka. A Very Eureka Christmas features the score for the two Christmas episodes O Little Town from 2010 and Do You See What I See from 2011 composed by Bear McCreary (Battlestar Galactica, The Walking Dead). The soundtrack will be released on November 20, 2012 and is now available for pre-order on iTunes, where you can also check out audio clips. La-La Land Records has previously released a soundtrack album featuring highlights from the composer’s score for the series (click here to order the release).
