Mutant and Back Lot Music have announced a soundtrack album for the drama The Bikeriders. The album features thirteen songs from the film by artists such as Muddy Waters, The Sonics, The Stooges, Gary U.S. Bonds, Dale Hawkins, The Shangri-Las, The Staple Singers, Mickey Murray & others. The soundtrack is now available to order as a vinyl edition on Mutant’s official website. The Bikeriders is written and directed by Jeff Nichols and stars Austin Butler, Jodie Comer, Tom Hardy, Norman Reedus, Mike Faist, Michael Shannon, Boyd Holbrook, Beau Knapp, Damon Herriman, Emory Cohen and Karl Glusman. The movie is based on the book of the same title Danny Lyon and follows the rise of a midwestern motorcycle club who evolves over the course of a decade from a gathering place for local outsiders into a more sinister gang, threatening the original group’s unique way of life.

David Wingo & Amman Abbasi Scoring David Gordon Green’s ‘The Exorcist: Believer’
David Wingo (Barry, The Report, Mayans, M.C., Kidding) has teamed up with writer/director & composer Amman Abbasi (Dayveon) to score the upcoming supernatural horror movie The Exorcist: Believer. The film is directed by David Gordon Green (Halloween, Pineapple Express) and stars Leslie Odom, Jr., Ann Dowd, Norbert Leo Butz, Jennifer Nettles, Olivia Marcum, Lidya Jewett, as well as Ellen Burstyn who is reprising her role as Chris MacNeil from William Friedkin’s Academy Award-wining original 1973 original movie. The sequel follows a father who – after his daughter and her friend disappear in the woods, only to return three days later – has to confront the nadir of evil to find out what happened to them.

Back Lot Music will release the official soundtrack album for Jeff Nichols’ drama Loving. The album features the film’s original music composed by David Wingo (All the Real Girls, The Sitter, Our Brand Is Crisis, Joe) who previously scored the director’s Take Shelter, Mud and Midnight Special. Also included is the original song Loving by Ben Nichols. The soundtrack will be released on November 18, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Loving is written and directed by Nichols and stars Joel Edgerton, Ruth Negga, Marton Csokas, Nick Kroll, Terri Abney, Alano Miller, Jon Bass and Michael Shannon.
David Wingo Scoring Jeff Nichols’ ‘Loving’
David Wingo is reteaming with director Jeff Nichols on the upcoming drama Loving. The film is written and directed by Nichols and stars Joel Edgerton, Ruth Negga, Nick Kroll, Marton Csokas and Michael Shannon. The movie is inspired by Nancy Buirski’s documentary The Loving Story and tells the true story of Richard and Mildred Loving, an interracial couple, who were sentenced to prison in Virginia in 1958 for getting married. Ged Doherty & Colin Firth (Eye In The Sky), Sarah Green (Frida, The Tree of Life), Buirski and Marc Turtletaub & Peter Saraf (Little Miss Sunshine, Safety Not Guaranteed) are producing the project.

WaterTower Music will release the official soundtrack album for Jeff Nichols’ sci-fi thriller Midnight Special. The album features the film’s original music composed by David Wingo (All the Real Girls, Our Brand Is Crisis, Joe, George Washington) who previously collaborated with the director on Take Shelter and Mud. The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 11, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out audio clips. Midnight Special is written and directed by Nichols and stars Michael Shannon, Joel Edgerton, Kirsten Dunst, Adam Driver, Jaeden Lieberher, Sam Shepard, Bill Camp, Scott Haze and Paul Sparks. The movie follows a father and son who go on the run after the dad learns his 8 year-old child possesses special powers.
David Wingo Scoring ‘Maggie’ and Jeff Nichols’ ‘Midnight Special’
David Wingo has signed on to score the upcoming zombie thriller Maggie . The film is directed by Henry Hobson and stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Abigail Breslin and Joely Richardson. The movie centers on a farm family who helps their eldest daughter come to terms with her infection as she slowly becomes a flesh-eating zombie as a virus spreads across the country. John Scott 3 has written the Black List-honored script. Schwarzenegger is also producing the project with Pierre-Ange Le Pogam (Colombiana, Hitman), Matt Baer (City by the Sea, View from the Top), Trevor Kaufman, Colin Bates and Joey Tufaro.
‘Mud’ Soundtrack Announced
Lakeshore Records has announced a soundtrack release for Jeff Nichols’ drama Mud. The album features the film’s original score composed by David Wingo (All the Real Girls, The Sitter) who previously collaborated with the director on 2011’s Take Shelter. Also included is music by Jeff McIlwain, the country-punk rock band Lucero and its frontman Ben Nichols, as well as two tracks by the Australian instrumental rock band Dirty Three. The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 23, 2013. Audio clips are available after the jump. Mud written and directed by Nichols stars Matthew McConaughey, Tye Sheridan, Sam Shepard and Reese Witherspoon. The movie follows two boys who find a man named Mud hiding out on an island in the Mississippi. The film premiered at last year’s Cannes Film Festival and has been picked up by Roadside Attractions for a theatrical release on April 26, 2013.
David Wingo to Score Jeff Nichols’ ‘Mud’
David Wingo is set to score the upcoming drama Mud. The movie is written and directed by Jeff Nichols and stars Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Tye Sheridan, Sarah Paulson, Michael Shannon and Sam Shephard. The film revolves around two teenage boys who encounter a mysterious fugitive hiding out on an island in the Mississippi and enter into a pact to help him escape and reconnect with the love of his life. Lisa Maria Falcone (Win Win, Mother and Child), Aaron Ryder (The Prestige) and Sarah Green (The Tree of Life, The New World) are producing the FilmNation and Everest Entertainment production. Wingo has previously scored Nichols’ Take Shelter, which opened in theaters this past October and has received a number of critics awards for Michael Shannon’s lead performance.
