Hollywood Records has announced a soundtrack album for the adventure comedy Free Guy. The album features the songs from the movie by artists such as Mariah Carey, Fred Astaire, Digital Underground, Mama Cass, Frankie Valli & others. Also included are 4 score tracks by Emmy Award-winning composer Christophe Beck (WandaVision, Frozen, Ant-Man, Buffy the Vampire Slayer). The soundtrack will be released digitally next Wednesday, August 11 (click here to stream/download the album) and on vinyl on Friday, August 13. Visit Amazon to pre-order the vinyl edition. Christophe Beck to Score Shawn Levy’s ‘Free Guy’
Christophe Beck (Frozen, Ant-Man, Edge of Tomorrow, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Hangover, The Muppets) is reuniting with director Shawn Levy on the upcoming sci-fi action comedy Free Guy. The film starring Ryan Reynolds, Jodie Comer, Lil Rel, Joe Keery, Utkarsh Ambudkar & Taika Waititi follows a bank teller who realizes he’s living in a video game and tries to prevent the makers of the game from shutting down his world. Matt Lieberman (The Addams Family, The Christmas Chronicles) wrote the screenplay with Zak Penn (Ready Player One, The Incredible Hulk). Levy & Reynolds are also producing the project with Greg Berlanti & Sarah Schechter (The Flash, Arrow, Riverdale) and Adam Kolbrenner (Prisoners).
‘This Is Where I Leave You’ Soundtrack Details
WaterTower Music will release a soundtrack album for the comedy drama This Is Where I Leave You. The album features the songs featured in the film by such artists as Alexi Murdoch, Coldplay, INXS, Saint Raymond, Cyndi Lauper, The Psychedelic Furs and Distant Cousins. Alan Silvestri to Score Robert Zemeckis’ ‘The Walk’
TriStar Pictures has announced that Alan Silvestri is reuniting with Robert Zemeckis on the upcoming drama The Walk. The movie stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ben Kingsley, James Badge Dale, Ben Schwartz, Charlotte Le Bon, Clément Sibony and César Domboy. The film is based on Philippe Petit’s book To Reach the Clouds and tells the true story of the French high-wire artist’s attempt to cross the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in 1974. Zemeckis wrote the screenplay with Christopher Browne and is also producing the project with Steve Starkey (Forrest Gump, Contact) and Jack Rapke (Cast Away, Flight, Matchstick Men).
Michael Giacchino to Score Shawn Levy’s ‘This Is Where I Leave You’
Michael Giacchino has signed on to score the upcoming comedy This Is Where I Leave You. The film is directed by Shawn Levy and stars Jason Bateman, Tina Fey, Rose Byrne, Jane Fonda, Kathryn Hahn, Timothy Olyphant, Ben Schwartz, Corey Stoll, Dax Shepard, Connie Britton and Abigail Spencer. The movie is based on a novel by Jonathan Tropper (Banshee) and follows a dysfunctional and idiosyncratic family in which the father’s death forces four grown siblings to spend a week together under the same roof for the first time in a decade. Tropper also has written the screenplay and Levy is producing the project with Paula Weinstein (The Perfect Storm, Analyze This, Blood Diamond). Most of Levy’s previous features, including Cheaper by the Dozen, Date Night and The Pink Panther featured music by composer Christophe Beck. The director has also collaborated with Danny Elfman on Real Steel and Alan Silvestri on the A Night at the Museum films.
Christophe Beck to Score Disney’s ‘Frozen’
Christophe Beck has been hired to score Walt Disney Animation Studios’ upcoming feature Frozen. The film directed by Chris Buck (Tarzan, Surf’s Up) & Jennifer Lee (screenwriter of Wreck-It-Ralph) takes place in a kingdom trapped in eternal winter and follows a young female dreamer who must team up with a daring mountain man, on a journey to find the Snow Queen and put an end to the icy spell. The movie’s voice cast includes Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad. Lee has co-written the screenplay with Shane Morris and Peter Del Vecho (The Princess and the Frog) is producing the animated feature with John Lasseter. It has previously been reported that Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez (Winnie the Pooh) are writing original songs for the film. Beck has previously scored the critically acclaimed Academy Award-nominated animated short Paperman for Disney Animation.

Christophe Beck is scoring the upcoming comedy The Guilt Trip. The film directed by Anne Fletcher (The Proposal, 28 Dresses) stars Seth Rogen as an inventor who invites his overbearing mother, played by Barbra Streisand, on a cross-country trip as he tries to sell his new product while also reuniting her with a lost love. Yvonne Strahovski, Colin Hanks and Adam Scott are co-starring. Dan Fogelman (Crazy.Stupid.Love, Cars) has written the screenplay and Evan Goldberg (Superbad, The Green Hornet), Lorne Michaels (30 Rock, Mean Girls) & John Goldwyn (Dexter,Baby Mama) are producing the Paramount Pictures production.

Christophe Beck has been tapped to score the sci-fi comedy Neighborhood Watch. The film directed by Akiva Schaffer (Hot Rod) revolves around a group of suburban dads who form a Neighborhood Watch to get away from their families, only to discover a bigger conspiracy. The movie stars Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, Jonah Hill, Rosemarie Dewitt, Richard Ayoade and Nicholas Braun. Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg (Superbad, The Green Hornet) have written the screenplay. Shawn Levy (Real Steel, Night at the Museum) and Tom McNulty (Date Night) are producing through their production company 21 Laps Entertainment.
