Ryan Bingham has recorded the original song How Shall a Sparrow Fly for Scott Cooper’s western Hostiles. The singer/songwriter, who also appears in the movie, previously co-wrote the song The Weary Kind for Cooper’s 2009 feature Crazy Heart with T Bone Burnett, for which he received an Academy Award, Golden Globe and Grammy Award. Max Richter Scoring Showtime’s ‘Guerrilla’ & Scott Cooper’s ‘Hostiles’
Max Richter is scoring the upcoming Showtime original series Guerrilla. The show is created John Ridley (12 Years a Slave, American Crime) and stars Idris Elba, Frieda Pinto and Babou Ceesay. The drama tells the story of a politically active couple whose relationship and values are tested when they liberate a political prisoner and form a radical underground cell in 1970s London. Ridley who is also directing the first two and final episodes and Elba are also executive producing the Fifty Fathoms and ABC Signature production with Michael J. McDonald (American Crime), Patrick Spence (Fortitude), Katie Swinden and Tracy Underwood.
‘Black Mass’ Soundtrack Details
WaterTower Music will release a soundtrack album for the crime drama Black Mass. The album features the film’s original music composed by Tom Holkenborg aka Junkie XL (Mad Max: Fury Road, Divergent, 300: Rise of an Empire, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice). The soundtrack will be released on September 11, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Tom Holkenborg aka Junkie XL has been tapped to score the upcoming thriller Black Mass. The film is directed by Scott Cooper (Crazy Heart, Out of the Furnace) and stars Johnny Depp, Joel Edgerton, Benedict Cumberbatch, Kevin Bacon, Dakota Johnson, Jesse Plemons, Corey Stoll, Rory Cochrane, Sienna Miller and Adam Scott. The movie tells the true story of Whitey Bulger, the most infamous violent criminal in the history of South Boston, who became an FBI informant to take down a Mafia family invading his turf. Mark Mallouk and Jez Butterworth (Edge of Tomorrow, Fair Game, Get On Up) wrote the screenplay based on the book by Dick Lehr & Gerard O’Neill.
