Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Guaranteed to top the weekend box office is the horror thriller It directed by Andrés Muschietti and starring Jaeden Lieberher, Wyatt Oleff, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Jack Dylan Grazer, Chosen Jacobs, Nicholas Hamilton and Bill Skarsgård. The film’s original music is composed by Benjamin Wallfisch (Annabelle: Creation, Hidden Figures, Blade Runner 2049, A Cure for Wellness). Also opening wide is the romantic comedy Home Again written and directed by Hallie Meyers-Shyer and starring Reese Witherspoon, Pico Alexander, Nat Wolff, Jon Rudnitsky, Michael Sheen, Candice Bergen and Lake Bell. John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, The Jungle Book, Elf, Iron Man 2) has composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release. Sparks & Shadows will release a soundtrack album for Danny Strong’s drama Rebel in the Rye. The album features the film’s original music composed by Bear McCreary (10 Cloverfield Lane, The Walking Dead, Battlestar Galactica, Colossal, Outlander).
