Film Music Reporter has received the track list of the soundtrack for the adventure sequel Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. The album features 11 tracks of the original score by Hans Zimmer and Rodrigo y Gabriela, as well as a number of remixes by electronic music artists Photek, Static Avenger, Ki:Theory and Adam Freeland. Also credited on the album is Eric Whitacre (who joined the music team as reported here) and composer Geoff Zanelli. There have also been two new cover arts circulating online (check out our previous article for the original one and see below for the other alternate cover). Hans Zimmer to collaborate with ‘Rodrigo y Gabriela’ on new Pirates movie
Hans Zimmer revealed in a recent interview on KCRW that he is currently collaborating with the Mexican music duo Rodrigo y Gabriela on his score for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Rodrigo y Gabriela are known for their fast, rhythmic acoustic guitar performances. Visit the duo’s official webpage to find out more about Rodrigo and Gabriela and listen to their work. The fourth Pirates of the Caribbean directed by Rob Marshall and starring Johnny Depp, Geoffrey Rush and Penelope Cruz is set to open on May 20, 2011.
