Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the superhero movie Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom directed by James Wan and starring Jason Momoa, Patrick Wilson, Amber Heard, Randall Park, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Nicole Kidman. . The film’s original music is composed by Rupert Gregson-Williams (Hacksaw Ridge, Wonder Woman, The Gilded Age, Abominable, The Legend of Tarzan, Click). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score and an original song by X Ambassadors today. Also opening wide is the animated feature Migration directed by Benjamin Renner and starring Kumail Nanjiani, Elizabeth Banks, Keegan-Michael Key, Awkafina and Danny DeVito. John Powell (How to Train Your Dragon, The Bourne Identity, Solo: A Star Wars Story, Shrek, United 93, Rio, Happy Feet) has composed the film’s original music. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as cover of Destiny’s Child’s Survivor performed by Mon Laferte last week. The movie directed by Lynn Wang (Unikitty!) & Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite, Nacho Libre) is based on Aaron Blabey’s children’s novel and follows a small-time pony who dreams of becoming a glamurous music star and – in a moment of fate – is transformed into a unicorn and instantly rises to global stardom.

John Powell (How to Train Your Dragon, The Bourne Identity, Solo: A Star Wars Story, Shrek, Rio, United 93, Happy Feet, Bolt, Don’t Worry Darling) is currently scoring the upcoming animated feature That Christmas. The film directed by Simon Otto is based on filmmaker Richard Curtis’ best-selling series of children’s books, which tell multiple interweaved stories of love, loneliness, family and friends. Curtis (Love Actually, Four Weddings and a Funeral) also co-wrote the screenplay with Peter Souter. Nicole P. Hearon (Once Upon a Snowman) & Adam Tandy (In the Loop, Inside No. 9) are producing the Locksmith Animation production.

‘Migration’ Soundtrack Album Details

Back Lot Music will release the official soundtrack for Illumination Entertainment’s animated feature Migration. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee John Powell (How to Train Your Dragon, The Bourne Identity, Shrek, Solo: A Star Wars Story, United 93, Rio, Happy Feet, Horton Hears a Who!). Also included is the cover of Destiny’s Child’s Survivor (in two different versions) performed by Mon Laferte. The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 15. Listen to all score tracks on Universal Pictures’ awards website. Migration is directed by Benjamin Renner and features the voice talent of Kumail Nanjiani, Elizabeth Banks, Awkafina, Keegan-Michael Key, Caspar Jennings, David Mitchell, Tresi Gazal and Danny DeVito. The animated adventure tells the story of a family of ducks who try to convince their overprotective father to embark on the vacation of a lifetime.

‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ Deluxe Edition Soundtrack 2-CD Release Announced

Intrada Records has announced a CD release of the deluxe edition soundtrack album for the Lucasfilm’s 2018 feature Solo: A Star Wars Story directed by Ron Howard and starring Alden Ehrenreich, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, Woody Harrelson, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Thandiwe Newton and Paul Bettany. The album features the film’s original score composed by John Powell (How to Train Your Dragon, Shrek, The Bourne Identity, Happy Feet, Don’t Worry Darling, X-Men: The Last Stand). John Williams has provided the Han Solo theme. The 2-CD set is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and find out more about the release.

John Powell (The Bourne Identity, Happy Feet, Solo: A Star Wars Story, United 93, Shrek, X-Men: The Last Stand) has confirmed that he will be returning to score the just announced live-action adaptation of DreamWorks Animation’s feature How to Train Your Dragon. The film will be written and directed by Dean DeBlois who co-directed the 2010 original film and helmed both sequels. He is also producing the project with Marc Platt (La La Land, Bridge of Spies) and Adam Siegel,. Powell has received his first (and – to date – only) Academy Award nomination for his work on the first animated film.
