Two new movies are opening wide this weekend:

Horrible Bosses directed by Seth Gordon and starring Jason Bateman, Jason Sudekis, Charlie Day, Jennifer Aniston, Colin Farrell, Kevin Spacey and Jamie Foxx features music by Christopher Lennertz. The composer collaborated with several musicians, including Money Mark, Mick McCready, Dave Levita, Chris Chaney, Stefan Lessard, Victor Indrizzo and DJ Cheapshot on the score. Also opening wide is the family comedy Zookeeper directed by Frank Coraci and starring Kevin James, Rosario Dawso, Leslie Bibb, Donnie Wahlberg and the voices of Sylvester Stallone, Adam Sandler, Nick Nolte, Cher, Jon Favreau and Judd Apatow. The film’s score is written by Rupert Gregson-Williams. As with most movies from Sandler’s production company Happy Madison Productions, no score album has been released. ‘Horrible Bosses’ Soundtrack Details

Watertower Music has announced the details for the soundtrack release of the comedy Horrible Bosses. The album includes the original score by Christopher Lennertz who collaborated with numerous rock musicians, including Money Mark (Beastie Boys), Mick McCready (Pearl Jam), Dave Levita (Eminem), Chris Chaney (Jane’s Addiction), Stefan Lessard (Dave Matthews Band),Victor Indrizzo (Beck) and DJ Cheapshot (Fort Minor, Linkin Park) to create the film’s music. ‘Horrible Bosses’ Soundtrack Coming in July

Watertower Music will be releasing the soundtrack album for the upcoming dark comedy Horrible Bosses. The soundtrack is set to be released digitally on July 5, 2011 and will also be available as a “CD on Demand” on Amazon. The score for Horrible Bosses is composed by Christopher Lennertz. The composer brought together a number of rock/pop musicians to record the score at the legendary Capitol Studios and The Village in Los Angeles. The key musicians included Money Mark (Beastie Boys) on keyboards, Mick McCready (Pearl Jam) and Dave Levita (Eminem) on guitar, Chris Chaney (Jane’s Addiction) and Stefan Lessard (Dave Matthews Band) on bass, Victor Indrizzo (Beck) on drums and DJ Cheapshot (Fort Minor, Linkin Park) on turntables. Expanded ‘First Knight’ Score released

Earlier this week, La-La Land Records has released an expanded soundtrack album of Jerry Goldsmith’s score for First Knight. The album comes in a 2 disc-set featuring the film’s score, the original 1995 album version and 7 alternate tracks not used in the film. The music has been expanded over the original soundtrack album by more than an hour. Limited to 5000 copies, the 2 CD presentation is now available to order on La-La Land Records’ website, where the album also can be previewed with several audio clips. First Knight is directed by Jerry Zucker and stars Sean Connery, Richard Gere and Julia Ormond.

Three new movies are opening in wide release this weekend:

Duncan Jones’ Source Code starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Michelle Monaghan and Vera Farmiga features music by Chris Bacon. A soundtrack including Bacon’s original score has been released by Lakeshore Records as reported here. The album is now available to order on Amazon and can be downloaded at Amazon and iTunes. Bacon has been giving a number of interviews about his latest project. Check out Scorenotes, Film Music Media and Filmmuziek.be for audio interviews with the composer.

Also opening wide is Tim Hill’s Hop starring Russell Brand as the voice of the Easter Bunny, as well as James Marsden, Elizabeth Perkins, Kaley Cuoco and Hugh Laurie. The film’s music is by composer Christopher Lennertz. As reported last week, a soundtrack with Lennertz’ score will be released by Varese Sarabande on April 19. Varese Sarabande Records has announced the details for the soundtrack release of the family comedy Hop. The album includes Christopher Lennertz’ original score from the movie, as well as the song The Pink Berets, co-written by Lennertz and performed by The DeeKompressors. Christopher Lennertz Scoring ‘Horrible Bosses’

According to Christopher Lennertz’ official website, the composer has begun working on the upcoming dark comedy Horrible Bosses. The movie stars Jason Sudekis, Charlie Day, Jason Bateman, Kevin Spacey, Colin Farrell, Jamie Foxx and Jennifer Aniston. The comedy centers on three best friends who, frustrated by their jobs, come to the conclusion the only solution is to kill one another’s bosses. The film is directed by Seth Gordon (The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters), who previously worked with composer Alex Wurman on his studio feature directing debut Four Christmases starring Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon. Horrible Bosses is produced by Brett Ratner and Jay Stern and is currently scheduled to be released on July 8, 2011.
