La-La Land Records has announced the third volume in the label’s Goldsmith at 20th series. The album features two classic scores from 20th Century Fox productions composed by Academy Award winner Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Chinatown, Planet of the Apes, Patton, Poltergeist): The Stripper directed by Franklin J. Schaffner and starring Joanne Woodward, Richard Beymer, Claire Trevor & Carol Lynley and 1974’s S*P*Y*S directed by Irvin Kershner and starring Elliott Gould & Donald Sutherland. The latter score is expanded with previously unreleased material. Also included as a bonus track is the premiere release of Goldsmith’s cue Pacer’s Farewell from the 1960 western Flaming Star starring Elvis Presley. The 2-CD set is limited to 2,000 copies and is now available to order in the label’s online store, where you can also check out the full track list and listen to audio samples.

Already playing in theaters nationwide since this past Wednesday is the movie musical Mary Poppins Returns directed by Rob Marshall and starring Emily Blunt, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ben Whishaw, Emily Mortimer, Julie Walters, Colin Firth, Meryl Streep, Pixie Davies, Nathanael Saleh, Joel Dawson, Angela Lansbury and Dick Van Dyke. The film’s original score is composed by Marc Shaiman (Hairspray, A Few Good Men, Misery) who also wrote the movie’s original songs with Scott Wittman. Opening today is the comic book movie Aquaman directed by James Wan and starring Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Nicole Kidman, Ludi Lin and Temuera Morrison. Rupert Gregson-Williams (Wonder Woman, Hacksaw Ridge, The Legend of Tarzan) has composed the film’s original score. ‘Bumblebee’ Soundtrack Details
The full details of the song compilation soundtrack for Travis Knight’s action adventure Bumblebee have been revealed. The album features the songs from the film, including Hailee Steinfeld’s original track Back to Life (already available as a digital single), as well as classic 80s hits by The Smiths, Duran Duran, a-ha, Tears for Fears, Simple Minds, Howard Jones, Bon Jovi, Steve Winwood & more. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 21 by Republic Records and will be available to download here. As previously reported, a separate album featuring the film’s score by Dario Marianelli is also coming out this weekend.

Paramount Music will release a score album for the Transformers spin-off Bumblebee. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award winner Dario Marianelli (Atonement, Pride and Prejudice, Darkest Hour, Anna Karenina, Kubo and the Two Strings). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 21 and will be available to download here. A CD version is expected to be announced from La-La Land Records soon. Republic Records has released the original song Back to Life from the soundtrack for the Transformers spin-off Bumblebee. The track is performed by Hailee Steinfeld who also stars in the movie.Jorgen Odegard produced and co-wrote the song with Michael Pollack, Josh Gudwin and Kennedy Lykken. Dario Marianelli has been tapped to score the upcoming Transformers spinoff Bumblebee. The film is directed by Travis Knight and stars Hailee Steinfeld, John Cena, Jorge Lendeborg Jr., Jason Drucker, Kenneth Choi, Rachel Crow, Pamela Adlon, Stephen Schneider, Ricardo Hoyos, Abby Quinn and Grace Dzienny. The movie is set in 1987 and follows a teenage girl trying to find her place in the world as she discovers Bumblebee refuged in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town.
