Plaza Mayor Company will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Simple as Water. The album features the film’s original music composed by Hanan Townshend (Knight of Cups, To the Wonder, Blue Miracle, Outcry, Semper Fi, The Book of Vision). The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, January 14 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Simple as Water directed by Megan Mylan (Lost Boys of Sudan, Smile Pinki) was filmed over the course of five years in five countries including Turkey, Greece, Germany, Syria and the US and explores the impact of war, separation, and displacement and takes audiences into Syrian families’ quests for normalcy and building a new life. The film marks the feature directorial debut of actresses Stephanie Allynne & Tig Notaro and stars Dakota Johnson, Sonoya Mizuno, Jermaine Fowler, Kiersey Clemons, Molly Gordon and Sean Hayes. The evening will be hosted by Darren Criss will include musical performances from Grammy-nominated singers/songwriters Abigail Barlow & Emily Bear (Bridgerton: The Unofficial Musica;), Grammy winner Judith Hill, and more. Ankama Studio has released a soundtrack album for the French animated feature Princess Dragon (Princesse Dragon). The album features the original songs from the film by French singer/songwriter Pomme, as well as the movie’s original score composed by Pierre-Jean Beaudoin . The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on iTunes/Apple Music, where you can also check out the full track list and listen to audio samples. Princess Dragon is directed by Anthony Roux & Jean-Jacques Denis and tells the story of little girl who was raised by dragons and embarks on a journey of discovery into the world of humans.
