Polydor Records has released a soundtrack album for the French drama Waiting for Bojangles (En attendant Bojangles). The album features the film’s original music composed by Olivier & Clare Manchon (Black Box, Colliding Dreams, The Drummer, Deceptive Practice: The Mysteries and Mentors of Ricky Jay). Also included is a song by Lola Flores, as well as Marlon Williams’ cover of Jerry Jeff Walker’s Mr. Bojangles arranged by Clare & Olivier Manchon (listen to the track after the jump). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. A CD version is also being released overseas this Friday. Neil Davidge (Unleashed, Push, Halo 4, Earth Moods, Britannia, Monsters: Dark Continent, Good People) has recently been recording his score for the upcoming Sky original limited series The Fear Index. The show is written by Caroline Bartleet & Paul Andrew Williams (London to Brighton, Unfinished Song, White Dragon) based on the best-selling novel by Robert Harris (Enigma, An Officer and a Spy) and stars Josh Hartnett, Leila Farzad, Arsher Ali and Grégory Montel. The 4-part thriller follows an American ex-pat physicist and computer genius who creates an AI-driven system that exploits fear in the financial markets and operates at lightning speed to make big returns. Soundtrack Album for HBO’s ‘Simple as Water’ to Be Released

Plaza Mayor Company will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Simple as Water. The album features the film’s original music composed by Hanan Townshend (Knight of Cups, To the Wonder, Blue Miracle, Outcry, Semper Fi, The Book of Vision). The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, January 14 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Simple as Water directed by Megan Mylan (Lost Boys of Sudan, Smile Pinki) was filmed over the course of five years in five countries including Turkey, Greece, Germany, Syria and the US and explores the impact of war, separation, and displacement and takes audiences into Syrian families’ quests for normalcy and building a new life. The film marks the feature directorial debut of actresses Stephanie Allynne & Tig Notaro and stars Dakota Johnson, Sonoya Mizuno, Jermaine Fowler, Kiersey Clemons, Molly Gordon and Sean Hayes. The evening will be hosted by Darren Criss will include musical performances from Grammy-nominated singers/songwriters Abigail Barlow & Emily Bear (Bridgerton: The Unofficial Musica;), Grammy winner Judith Hill, and more. Son Lux are providing the original music for the upcoming sci-fi adventure comedy Everything Everywhere All at Once. The film is directed by Daniels (aka Daniel Kwan & Daniel Scheinert (Swiss Army Man, The Death of Dick Long) and stars Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, Stephanie Hsu, Jenny Slate, James Hong, Harry Shum Jr. and Jamie Lee Curtis. The movie revolves around an exhausted Chinese American woman who can’t seem to finish her taxes.
