Nominations for 3rd Annual SCL Awards Announced

The Society of Composers & Lyricists (SCL) has announced the nominees for the 3rd Annual SCL Awards, which will take place on February 1st at the Skirball Cultural Center. The evening will be hosted by Darren Criss will include musical performances from Grammy-nominated singers/songwriters Abigail Barlow & Emily Bear (Bridgerton: The Unofficial Musica;), Grammy winner Judith Hill, and more. Check out the full list of nominations below. Carter Burwell and Joel Coen & Ethan Coen who have collaborated on 17 films (including last year’s The Tragedy of Macbeth directed and adapted by Joel Coen) will receive the Spirit of Collaboration Award, which is  presented to a composer and filmmaker who have had an enduring and distinguished creative partnership representing a significant body of work.

Update, January 13, 2022: The 3rd Annual SCL Awards ceremony has been postponed to March 8, 2022 due to COVID concerns..
