Taylor Swift has recorded an original song for the upcoming thriller Where the Crawdads Sing. The track, entitled Carolina, is written and performed by Swift and is featured in the film’s first trailer, which just premiered today and can be checked out after the jump. The movie adaptation of Delia Owens’ bestselling novel is directed by Olivia Newman and stars Daisy Edgar-Jones, Taylor John Smith, Harris Dickinson, Michael Hyatt, Sterling Macer, Jr. and David Strathairn. As previously reported, Mychael Danna has composed the original score for the 3000 Pictures film produced by Reese Witherspoon & Lauren Neustadter, which will be released in theaters nationwide on July 15 by Sony Pictures. The Bridgerton Season Two (Soundtrack from the Netflix Series) album features selections of the original score from the show’s second season composed by Kris Bowers (King Richard, Green Book, Mrs. America, Space Jam: A New Legacy, Inventing Anna, Dear White People, When They See Us). The Bridgerton Season Two (Covers from the Netflix Series) album features orchestral versions of songs from iconic artists of the past three decades: Vitamin String Quartet return with their interpretations of Nirvana’s Stay Away and Robyn’s Dancing on My Own, Bowers reimagines Madonna’s Material Girl and the Latin-Lalit/Lata Mangeshkar song Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and Duomo offers fresh takes of Alanis Morissette’s You Oughta Know and P!nk’s What About Us.
