The full details of the new soundtrack album for the Paramount+ original series Star Trek: Picard have been revealed. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Emmy Award winner Jeff Russo (Star Trek: DiscoveryFargoLegionThe Night OfThe Umbrella Academy, The Man Who Fell to Earth, Lucy in the Sky). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, April 29 by Lakeshore Records and will be available to stream/download on Amazon any other major digital music platforms. The label has previously released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score from Season 1 back in 2020. Decca Records will release the official soundtrack album for the drama Downton Abbey: A New Era. The album features the film’s original music composed by Emmy Award winner John Lunn (The Last Kingdom, Jamestown, GrantchesterShetland, Belgravia) who previously scored the first Downton Abbey movie and all episodes of the TV series and recorded his score with the Chamber Orchestra of London. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 29 and will be available to stream/download here. A CD version is available to order as an import on Amazon. Pearl Jam co-founder and bassist Jeff Ament (with former Red Hot Chilli Peppers guitarist Josh Klinghoffer and Fitz and the Tantrums drummer/songwriter John Wicks) has composed the original music for the new FX limited series Under the Banner of Heaven. The show is created by Dustin Lance Black (Milk, When We Rise) and stars Andrew Garfield, Sam Worthington, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Denise Gough, Wyatt Russell, Gil Birmingham, Billy Howle, Adelaide Clemens, Rory Culkin, Chloe Pirrie, Seth Numrich and Sandra Seacat. The drama is inspired by the true crime bestseller by Jon Krakauer and follows Detective Jeb Pyre as he investigates the events that led to the 1984 murder of Brenda Wright Lafferty and her baby daughter in a suburb in the Salt Lake Valley, Utah. Singer/songwriter and hip-hop artist St. Panther (aka Daniela Bojorges-Giraldo) has made her feature film scoring debut on the new Hulu original movie Crush. The film is directed by Sammi Cohen and stars Rowan Blanchard, Auli’i Cravalho, Isabella Ferreira, Teala Dunn, Tyler Alvarez, Rico Paris, Aasif Mandvi, Michelle Buteau and Megan Mullally. Andrew Brady serves as the music supervisor on the romantic comedy, which follows an aspiring young artist who is forced to join her high school track team and uses it as an opportunity to pursue the girl she’s been harboring a long-time crush on.
