Music Box Records has released a soundtrack album for the French crime drama Maigret and the Dead Lover (Maigret et le Mort amoureux). The album features the film’s original music composed by Alexei Aigui (The Truth, I Am Not Your Negro, Wild Field, The Young Karl Marx, Orwell: 2 + 2 = 5, Test, Exterminate All the Brutes). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list. Also listen to the composer’s title track after the jump. A CD version featuring Aigui’s score from Maigret and two other titles will be released in the coming weeks. Maigret and the Dead Lover is directed by Pascal Bonitzer and stars Denis Podalydès, Anne Alvaro, Manuel Guillot, Irène Jacob, Micha Lescot, Dominique Reymond, Olivier Rabourdin and Laurent Poitrenaux. RCA Records will release the official soundtrack album for the British Netflix original film Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man. The album features the movie’s original score composed by Antony Genn & Martin Slattery (The Look of Love, Black Mirror: The Waldo Moment, Lost in London) who have previously scored the fourth season of the Peaky Blinders series. Also included are the film’s original songs written by Grian Chatten (of the post-punk band Fontaines D.C.), Genn & Slattery, as well as a new version of Nick Cave’s Red Right Hand, Chatten’s collaboration with Lankum on Hunting the Wren, Girl In The Year Above’s cover of Massive Attack’s Teardrop and Chatten’s cover of the band’s Angel. The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 6. A first song (Puppet by Chatten, Genn & Slattery) is already available to stream/download now and can be checked out after the jump.
