Dragon’s Domain Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1972 historical drama Pope Joan directed by Michael Anderson and starring Liv Ullmann, Olivia de Havilland, Franco Nero, Jeremy Kemp, Leslie-Anne Down, Natasha Nicolescu, Peter Arne, Patrick Magee and Maximilian Schell. The album features the newly remastered score from the film composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Maurice Jarre (Lawrence of Arabia, Doctor Zhivago, Ghost, Gorillas in the Mist, Witness, No Way Out, Jacob’s Ladder).. The soundtrack is now available to order as a limited edition CD on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio clips. Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the Peacock original series The Miniature Wife. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Isobel Waller-Bridge (Fleabag, Wicked Little Letters, Emma, Vita & Virginia, The Phantom of the Open, Munich: The Edge of War, Three Women, Roar). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 10 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The Miniature Wife is created by Jennifer Ames & Steve Turner based on the short story written by Manuel Gonzales and stars Elizabeth Banks, Matthew Macfadyen, O-T Fagbenle, Zoe Lister-Jones, Sian Clifford and Sofia Rosinsky. Dragon’s Domain Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1968 drama The Killing of Sister George directed by Robert Aldrich and starring Beryl Reid, Susannah York, Coral Browne, Patricia Medina, Ronald Fraser, Hugh Paddick and Cyril Delevanti. The album features the film’s original music composed by Emmy Award winner Gerald Fried (Star Trek: The Original Series, Roots, Mission: Impossible, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Gilligan’s Island). The limited edition CD is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and find out more information about the soundtrack. Folkgang Records has released the original song Birdie from the Italian western Heads or Tails? (Testa o Croce?). The track written by the film’s composer Vittorio Giampietro and actor John C. BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.) announced today that Theodore Shapiro will be honored as a BMI Icon at the 2026 BMI Film, TV & Visual Media Awards on May 13 in Beverly Hills, CA. The Emmy Award- winning composer will be receiving this honor for his outstanding body of work in some of the most culturally defining films and TV series over the last 25 years. In addition to his music for Apple TV’s Severance, for which he received two Emmy Awards and an additional nomination for his main title theme, the composer’s scoring credits include the features The Devil Wears Prada (and its upcoming sequel), Dodgeball, 13 Going on 30, Bombshell, The Eyes of Tammy Faye, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, and, most recently, last year’s hit thriller The Housemaid.
