Hasbro has released a soundtrack album for the superhero TV series Power Rangers Cosmic Fury. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Bert Selen (Raven’s Home, Rules of Engagement, Mystery Girls, Fast Layne). Also included is the composer’s Cosmic Fury theme song, which has previously been released as a digital single. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the psychological thriller Trap written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan and starring Josh Hartnett, Ariel Donoghue, Hayley Mills and Allison Pill. The film’s original score is composed by Herdís Stefánsdóttir (Knock at the Cabin, Y: The Last Man, The Sun Is Also a Star, The Essex Serpent, We’re Here). Saleka (who stars as the fictional pop star Lady Raven) has contributed the project’s original songs. Columbia Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs today. Also opening wide is the family adventure Harold and the Purple Crayon directed by Carlos Saldanha and starring Zachary Levi, Lil Rel Howery, Tanya Reynolds, Alfred Molina Jemaine Clement, Benjamin Bottani and Zooey Deschanel. Batu Sener (The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild, Better Man, Ice Age: Scrat Tales) has composed the film’s original music. YouTuber, musician and actor Rudy Mancuso is set to score the upcoming indie horror movie Woozy. The film is written and directed by Joey Bicicchi and will star Emile Hirsch as a man who has deliberately structured his life, through meditation, yoga, nutrition, boxing, and hygiene, to create a safe environment, when a horrifying apparition (the titular Woozy) appears to torment him.
