Premiere Vinyl Edition of Randy Newman’s ‘Pleasantville’ Score Announced

Varèse Sarabande and Craft Recordings have announced the first-ever vinyl release of the score to the 1998 fantasy comedy drama Pleasantville written and directed by Gary Ross and starring Tobey Maguire, Reese Witherspoon, Jeff Daniels, Joan Allen, William H. Macy, Don Knotts and J. T. Walsh. The 2-LP deluxe edition features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award winner Randy Newman (Toy Story, Monsters, Inc., The Princess and the Frog, A Bug’s Life, Marriage Story, Avalon, Cars) and will be available on Red, White and Blue swirl vinyl in North America, while the international edition is pressed on Translucent Tan vinyl. The soundtrack will be released on September 13 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out the track list. The full details of the score album for Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine have been revealed. The album features the film’s original score composed by Rob Simonsen (Ghostbusters: Afterlife, The Whale, The Way Back, Foxcatcher, The Age of Adaline, The Adam Project, (500) Days of Summer, Nerve). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 24 by Hollywood Records and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services.
