Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the action thriller Den of Thieves 2: Pantera written and directed by Christian Gudegast and starring Gerard Butler, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Evin Ahmad, Swen Temmel, Meadow Williams and Salvatore Esposito. The film’s original music is composed by Kevin Matley (The Family Plan, Concrete Cowboy, Arthur the King, Path of the Panther, Daniel). Lionsgate Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Opening semi-wide in around 800 theaters following an awards-qualifying release in December is the drama The Last Showgirl directed by Gia Coppola and starring Pamela Anderson, Billie Lourd, Brenda Song, Kiernan Shipka, Dave Bautista and Jamie Lee Curtis. Andrew Wyatt (Barbie) has composed the film’s original music. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as an original song written (with Wyatt & Lykke Li) and performed by Miley Cryus last month.
