Edo Van Breemen (Air, Hollow in the Land, Afflicted, The Backward Class) is the composer of the upcoming horror comedy The Monkey. The film is co-written and directed by Osgood Perkins (Longlegs, Gretel & Hansel) and stars Theo James, Tatiana Maslany, Christian Convery, Rohan Campbell, Elijah Wood, Colin O’Brien and Sarah Levy. The movie is based on the short story by Stephen King and follows two twin brothers who find a mysterious wind-up monkey that causes series of outrageous deaths and – 25 years later – begins a new killing spree forcing the estranged duo to confront the cursed toy. Variety is reporting that Grammy Award-nominated music producer and songwriter A.G. Cook is attached to score the upcoming movie The Moment. The film marks the feature directorial debut of photographer and filmmaker Aidan Zamiri and is based on an original ideal by Charli XCX who will also star and is producing the movie through her new production company, Studio365. No plot details have been revealed yet. Zamiri also co-wrote the screenplay with Bertie Brandes. David Hinojosa (Past Lives, Babygirl) is also producing the project for 2AM.
