Sony Classical will release a new soundtrack album for the action movie Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. The “extended edition” features the film’s original score composed by Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, Black Widow, His Dark MaterialsTop Gun: Maverick, Life on Our Planet, Black Adam, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves), including fifteen previously unreleased tracks. Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix original anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill) and Marcin Przybyłowicz (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Cyberpunk 2077). Also included is the opening titles song This Fffire performed by Franz Ferdinand (check out the titles sequence below), as well as the end credits song Let You Down performed by Dawid Podsiadło. Michael Giacchino (Up, Lost, Star Trek, Spider-Man: No Way Home, The Batman, Jurassic World, The Incredibles) is attached to score the upcoming animated feature High in the Clouds. The film is directed by Toby Genkel (The Amazing Maurice, A Stork’s Journey) and will feature six original songs written by Paul McCartney who will also voice one of the main characters. The movie is based on McCartney’s children’s novel of the same title and follows the journey of a headstrong teenage squirrel who lives in a city where music has been banned by a diva-owl who wants to be the only singer in town and goes on a journey to bring music back to his town. Deutsche Grammophon will release the official soundtrack album for the Netflix original film Maestro. The album features the music from the biographical drama composed by Leonard Bernstein and performed by the London Symphony Orchestra, recorded in early 2023 at AIR Studios in London under the direction of Yannick Nezet-Seguin (who served as director/lead actor Bradley Cooper’s conducting consultant). The soundtrack will be released digitally on November 17 and physically (on CD and vinyl) on December 1.
