The film is directed by Robert Duvall who also stars in the movie alongside James Franco, Josh Hartnett, Luciana Duvall and Adriana Barraza. Steve Jablonsky has been hired to score the upcoming fantasy adventure The Last Witch Hunter. The film is directed by Breck Eisner (Sahara, The Crazies) and stars Vin Diesel, Rose Leslie, Elijah Wood, Julia Engelbrecht and Michael Caine. The movie follows the last remaining witch hunter who partners with his natural enemy, a female witch, to stop the covens of New York City from unleashing a plague on humanity. Burk Sharpless & Matt Sazama (Dracula Untold, Gods of Egypt) have written the screenplay based on a pitch by Cory Goodman (Priest). Diesel is also producing the Summit Entertainment production with Mark Canton (300, The Spiderwick Chronicles, Piranha 3D) and Bernie Goldmann (300: Rise of an Empire, Mirror Mirror, Fool’s Gold). Hollywood Bowl 2015 Season Schedule Announced

The Hollywood Bowl has announced this summer’s season schedule, which includes a number of film music concerts. On September 4/5/6, 2015, the Bowl will host its premiere performance of E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial in Concert. The Los Angeles Philharmonic will be performing the film’s entire Academy Award-winning score from Steven Spielberg’s classic film composed by John Williams (Star Wars, Jaws, Jurassic Park) live-to-picture while the movie is shown in HD on the Bowl’s big screen. ‘Wolf Totem’ Soundtrack Details

Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for Jean-Jacques Annaud’s epic adventure drama Wolf Totem. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner James Horner (Titanic, Braveheart, Avatar, A Beautiful Mind, Apollo 13, Aliens) who previously collaborated with the director on such films as The Name of the Rose, Enemy at the Gates and Black Gold. Wolf Totem is based on the autobiographical novel by Jiang Rong and stars Chinese actors Feng Shaofeng and Dou Xiao . James Newton Howard has signed on to score the upcoming drama Concussion. The film is directed by Peter Landesman and stars Will Smith, Alec Baldwin, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Luke Wilson, Arliss Howard, Paul Reiser, David Morse and Albert Brooks. The movie centers on Dr. Bennet Omalu, the forensic neuropathologist who discovered football-related brain trauma in a player and fought to bring awareness to the public. Expanded ‘Ladyhawke’ Soundtrack Released

La-La Land Records has released a new soundtrack album for the 1985 fantasy romance Ladyhawke directed by Richard Donner starring Matthew Broderick, Rutger Hauer and Michelle Pfeiffer. The album features the remastered and expanded original score from the film composed by Andrew Powell (Rocking Gibraltar), including previously unreleased music and bonus tracks. The soundtrack for the Warner Bros. and 20th Century Fox production is limited to 3000 copies. The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) has announced that composer Elliot Goldenthal will receive the organization’s Founder Award at the 30th annual Film & Television Music Awards, which will take place on Monday, March 9, 2015 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA. The invitation-only dinner and awards ceremony will honor the composers and songwriters of the top box office film music, the most performed television music and the top video game music of 2014. The Founder Award is given to songwriters and composers who have made pioneering contributions to music by inspiring and influencing their fellow music creators.
