Isabella Summers (aka Isa Machine of Florence + the Machine) (Little Fires Everywhere, Lady Chatterley’s Lover, Lisa Frankenstein, KAOS, Physical, The Offer) has recently scored the upcoming comedy drama The True Beauty of Being Bitten by a Tick. The film is directed by Pete Ohs (Jethica, Everything Beautiful Is Far Away) and stars Zoë Chao, Callie Hernandez, James Cusati-Moyer and Jeremy O. Harris. The movie follows a young woman who drives down to a friend’s bucolic new home for some time away after a tragic accident and begins developing troubling symptoms from a tick bite.

‘O’Dessa’ Soundtrack Album Announced

Hollywood Records and Searchlight Pictures have announced the official soundtrack album for the rock opera O’Dessa. The album features thirteen original songs written and produced by the film’s writer and director Geremy Jasper (Patti Cake$) with Jason Binnick and performed by lead actors Sadie Sink and Kelvin Harrison Jr., with additional performances by Pokey LaFarge, Bree Elrod, Murray Barlett and Emily Forsythe. The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 14 (visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download). O’Dessa is set in a post-apocalyptic future and follows a farm girl on an epic quest to recover a cherished family heirloom whose journey leads her to a strange and dangerous city where she meets her one true love. Music Highlights from the 97th Academy Awards

The 97th Academy Awards ceremony was held last night. While none of the Oscar-nominated original songs were performed live, the show featured several other musical performance. Highlights include Cynthia Erivo’s & Ariana Grande’s performance of Defying Gravity from the Academy Award-nominated Wicked (as well as their rendition of Somewhere Over the Rainbow & Home), a James Bond musical tribute featuring LISA, Doja Cat and RAYE performing the Bond theme songs Live and Let Die, Diamonds Are Forever & Skyfall, as well as Queen Latifah’s rendition of Ease on Down the Road from the musical The Wiz as a tribute to composer/music producer Quincy Jones who passed away last year.
