Benjamin Wallfisch has been tapped to score the upcoming horror thriller Rings. The film is directed by F. Javier Gutierrez (Before the Fall) and stars Matilda Lutz, Alex Roe, Johnny Galecki, Aimee Teegarden, Bonnie Morgan and Vincent D’Onofrio. The movie is the third part in the Ring franchise and follows a young woman who becomes worried about her boyfriend when he explores a dark subculture surrounding a mysterious videotape said to kill the watcher seven days after he has viewed it. The film directed by Angelina Jolie is based on the non-fiction book by Loung Ung, a Cambodian author and survivor of the Pol Pot regime, and tells the story of her experiences and the horrors she suffered under the rule of the deadly Khmer Rougee. The film is directed by William Oldroyd and stars Florence Pugh, Cosmo Jarvis, Paul Hilton, Naomi Ackie and Christopher Fairbank. The movie is set in 19th Century England and follows a young woman who is trapped in a marriage of convenience whose passionate affair unleashes a maelstrom of murder and mayhem on a country estate. Alice Birch has written the screenplay based on Nikolai Leskov’s novel and Fodhla Cronin O’Reilly is producing the project.
