The details of the soundtrack album for Andrew Haigh’s drama Lean on Pete have been announced. The album features the film’s original music composed by James Edward Barker (Heist, Precious Cargo, Rise of the Footsoldier 3). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, April 27 by Varese Sarabande and will be available to download on Amazon. Lean on Pete is written and directed by Haigh and stars Charlie Plummer, Steve Buscemi, Chloe Sevigny, Travis Fimmel, Steve Zahn, Amy Seimetz and Thomas Mann. The Academy’s Board of Governors has approved Oscars rules and campaign regulations for the 91st Academy Awards, including a change in the music categories, where “all members of the Music Branch will view films eligible for Original Score and film clips of eligible Original Songs and vote in a preliminary round to produce a shortlist of 15 titles in each category using the preferential voting system.
