Premiering tonight is the CBS drama Tracker developed by Ben Winters based on Jeffery Deaver’s bestselling novel The Never Game and starring Justin Hartley, Fiona Rene, Abby McEnany, Robin Weigert and Eric Graise. The show’s original music is composed by Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, Deadpool 2Watchmen, John Wick, 300, X, Primal, Killer Joe, The Punisher). Premiering tomorrow, February 12, is the National Geographic documentary The Space Race directed by Diego Hurtado de Mendoza & Lisa Cortés about the experiences of the first Black astronauts. Anna Drubich (Barbarian, Fear Street Part 3: 1666, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, Werewolves Within) & Jongnic Bontemps (Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, My Name Is Pauli Murray, 4400, Redfall) have composed the film’s original music. The show is created for television by John Whittington (The Lego Batman Movie, DC League of Super-Pets) & Toby Ascher (Spenser Confidential) based on characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog features and video game series and stars Idris Elba (as the voice of the title character), Adam Pally (as Wade Whipple), Stockard Channing, Edi Patterson, Scott Mescudi, Julian Barratt, Ellie Taylor, Cary Elwes, Rory McCann, Christopher Lloyd, Paul Scheer and Rob Huebel. The 6-parter is set between the events of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 & 3 (scored by Tom Holkenborg) and follows Knuckles on a journey of self-discovery as he agrees to train Wade as his protégé and teach him the ways of the Echidna warrior. Roc Chen (The Wandering Earth, 7 Guardians of the TombChinese ZodiacSwitch,  Stoker Hills, Sacrifice) will release a soundtrack album for the Chinese sports comedy Pegasus 2. The album features the composer’s original score from the film and will be released digitally tomorrow, February 11 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. Also check out Chen’s main theme below. Pegasus 2 is written and directed by Han Han and stars Shen Teng, Zheng Yin, Benyu ZHang, Chengcheng Fan and Xiang Wei. The sequel to the 2019 hit movie follows former champion driver Zhang Chi as he has become a driving school instructor to make ends meet, when he gets offered to form a new team to compete in the last Bayinbrook Rally. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the horror comedy Lisa Frankenstein directed by Zelda Williams and starring Kathryn Newton, Cole Sprouse, Carla Gugino, Joe Chrest, Liza Soberano and Henry Eikenberry. The film’s original score is composed by Isabella Summers (Little Fires Everywhere, Lady Chatterley’s Lover, The Offer, Call Jane, Sex/Life). Hollywood Records has released the main title song from the National Geographic documentary series Queens. Available to stream/download now on all major digital music platforms is Umi (Woman) co-written (with Dean James Barratt) and performed by Alewya. Experimental music artist and singer/songwriter Dean Blunt has made his feature scoring debut on the upcoming documentary Dahomey. Together with French musician/composer Wally Badarou (Countryman, Boesman and Lena, The Lunatic), he has co-scored the Mati Diop-directed movie, which follows the French/Senegalese filmmaker as she explores the issue of colonization through the story of 26 precious artworks restituted to Benin in late 2021 after being stolen by French colonizers in 1892, when the African country was called the Kingdom of Dahomey.
