Chris Cornell has released his title song for Terry George’s romantic drama The Promise. The singer/songwriter who has previously contributed songs for movies including Casino Royale and Great Expectations recorded the song last year ahead of the film’s premiere at the Toronto Film Festival. Varese Sarabande has announced the world premiere CD soundtrack release for the 1981 drama On Golden Pond directed by Mark Rydell and starring Katharine Hepburn, Henry Fonda, Jane Fonda, Doug McKeon, Dabney Coleman and William Lanteau. The album features the film’s original music composed by Dave Grusin (The Firm, The Goonies, The Milagro Beanfield War) who received his third Academy Award nomination for his work on the Universal Pictures release.
