‘Burning’ Soundtrack Released

Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the Korean drama Burning (Beoning). The album features the film’s original music composed by Mowg (I Saw the Devil, The Last Stand, The Age of Shadow). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Burning is directed by Lee Chang-dong and stars Ah-in Yoo, Steven Yeun and Jong-seo Jun. The movie centers on an introverted young man whose difficult life is complicated by the appearance of two people into his orbit: a spirited young woman who offers romantic possibility, and a wealthy young man she returns from a trip with. Two new movies are opening nationwide this week:

Opening in most theaters is the mystery thriller Glass written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan and starring James McAvoy, Bruce Willis, Anya Taylor-Joy, Sarah Paulson, Samuel L. Jackson, Spencer Treat Clark and Charlayne Woodard. The film’s original music is composed by West Dylan Thordson (SplitJoy3 Generations). Already playing in theaters nationwide since this past Wednesday is the Japanese anime movie Dragon Ball Super: Broly directed by Tatsuya Nagamine and written by Akira Toriyama. Norihito Sumitomo (Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods & Resurrection ‘F’) has composed the film’s original music. A soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score has been released in Japan. Daichi Miura has contributed the film’s theme song Blizzard. The movie is being released in the U.S. by FUNimation. A soundtrack album has been released for the action thriller Close. The album features the film’s original music composed by Marc Canham (The Disappearance of Alice CreedFinal Girl). The soundtrack is now available to purchase on Bandcamp and will be available to download next Friday on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Also now available is the cover of Kate Bush’s Running Up That Hill by Candy Says & Canham as featured in the movie (click here to download the track). Close is co-written and directed by Vicky Jewson and stars Noomi Rapace, Sophie Nélisse and Indira Varma. The movie centers on a battle-hardened bodyguard who scrambles to save her client when attackers target the heiress she’s protecting. The full details of the soundtrack album for Steven Knight’s thriller Serenity have been announced. The album features the film’s original music composed by Grammy Award & Golden Globe nominee Benjamin Wallfisch (It, Blade Runner 2049, Shazam!, Hidden Figures, Annabelle Creation, Lights Out). Amazon Content Services has released the main title theme from the second season of the Amazon original series Lore. The theme is composed by Dino Meneghin (Teen Wolf, Killing Gunther, Eye Candy) who also scored Season 2 of the anthology series. The track is now available to download on Amazon. Lore is inspired by the popular podcast launched in March 2015 by Aaron Mahnke that explores the origins of modern myths and legend and is executive produced by Sean Crouch (who served as the showrunner of the second season), Gale Anne Hurd, Ben Silverman, Howard T. Dillon Francis has teamed up with T-Pain and That Girl Lay Lay for the  new track Catchy Song from the animated sequel The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part. The song, which is written by Francis, Jon Lajoie & James Rushent, is being released by WaterTower Music today and is now available to download as a digital single on Amazon. ‘Yuli’ Soundtrack Released

Quartet Records has released a soundtrack album for the biographical drama Yuli. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Academy Award nominee Alberto Iglesias (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, The Constant Gardener, The Kite Runner, Volver, The Skin I Live In). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. A CD version will be announced soon. Yuli is directed by Icíar Bollaín and stars Carlos Acosta, Santiago Alfonso, Keyvin Martínez and Edilson Manuel Olbera Nuñez. The movie tells the story of Cuban ballet superstar Carlos Acosta’s rise from the streets of Havana to the heights of classical ballet, becoming the first black principal guest dancer at the Royal Ballet in London. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Pinar Toprak (Captain Marvel, Fortnite, The AngelThe Lightkeepers). ‘The Upside’ Soundtrack Details

Sony Masterworks and STX Recordings will release a soundtrack album for the comedy drama The Upside. The album features the film’s original music composed by Rob Simonsen (Love, Simon, Nerve, The Spectacular Now, Foxcatcher, (500) Days of Summer, Tully). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, January 18 and will be available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio clips. The Upside is directed by Neil Burger and stars Kevin Hart, Bryan Cranston, Nicole Kidman, Julianna Margulies and Aja Naomi King. The album features the songs from the television adaptation of Jonathan Larson’s Tony Award- & Pulitzer Price-winning stage musical performed by Vanessa Hudgens, Brandon Victor Dixon, Mario, Tinashe, Kiersey Clemons, Jordan Fisher, Brennin Hunt and Valentina.
