Lyle Workman is composing the original score for the new Freeform original series The Bold Type. The show is created by Sarah Watson (Parenthood, Pure Genius) and stars Melora Hardin, Katie Stevens, Sam Page, Aisha Dee, Meghann Fahy and Matt Ward. The drama is inspired by the life of “Cosmopolitan” editor in chief, Joanna Coles and follows the outrageous lives and loves of those responsible for a global women’s magazine. Watson is also executive producing the Universal Television production with Coles, David Bernad (Superstore, The D Train) and Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland, Gangster Squad). Jeff Cardoni has been hired to score the upcoming indie comedy Furlough. The film is directed by Laurie Collyer (Sherrybaby, Sunlight Jr.) and stars Melissa Leo and La La Anthony. Anna Paquin, Tessa Thompson and Whoopi Goldberg are also rumored to appear in the movie, which centers around an inmate who is granted one weekend out of prison to see her dying mother and her relationship with a rookie correction officer. La-La Land Records has announced several new albums, including a new soundtrack release for the 1992 thriller Unlawful Entry directed by Jonathan Kaplan and starring Kurt Russell, Ray Liotta and Madeleine Stowe. The album features the remastered and expanded score from the 20th Century Fox production composed by James Horner (Titanic, Avatar, A Beautiful Mind, Braveheart, Apollo 13). Austin Wintory is reteaming with director Paul Solet on the upcoming thriller De Niro (aka Unchained). The film is written and directed by Solet and stars Adrien Brody, John Malkovich, Antonio Banderas, Ori Pfeffer and Alexandra Dinu. The movie follows three career criminals who trap themselves in a warehouse with the law closing in, and run into the attack dog named DeNiro. Solet is also producing the Millennium Films production with Yariv Lerner, Les Weldon (The Expendables, London Has Fallen), Milos Djukelic, Rick Benattar (Shoot ‘Em Up), Raphael Swann, Victor Shapiro (Mediterranea) and David Gardner. ‘Riverdale’ Score Album Details

The full details of the first score album for the CW drama Riverdale have been announced. The album features selections of original score from the show’s first season composed by Blake Neely (The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, The Pacific, Everwood). The CD version is limited to 3000 copies and will be available to order on La-La Land Records’ website later today and is already available for pre-order on Amazon. WaterTower Music has previously released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the series’ first season. Intrada Records has announced the world premiere of the score for the 1987 comedy drama Good Morning, Vietnam directed by Barry Levinson and starring Robin Williams. The music is composed by Academy Award winner Alex North (Spartacus, Cleopatra, A Street Car Named Desire,Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?). Also included on the album is the expanded original score from Disney’s 1995 family adventure Operation Dumbo Drop directed by Simon Wincer and starring Danny Glover & Ray Liotta.
