‘The Sound of Adventure’ Film Music Album Announced

Prospero Classical will release The Sound of Adventure, a compilation album featuring newly recorded music from several iconic film scores performed by the City Light Symphony Orchestra conducted by Kevin Griffiths, and the London Voices. Alexandre & David Castro-Balbi are the featured soloists. Among the titles included on the album are The Mask of Zorro (James Horner), El Cid (Miklós Rózsa), The Adventures of Robin Hood (Erich Wolfgang Kongold), Cutthroat Island (John Debney), Seven Years in Tibet, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, E.T.The Empire Strikes Back & Solo: A Star Wars Story (main theme) (John Williams), 633 Squadron (Ron Goodwin), Back to the Future (Alan Silvestri) and Rogue One – A Star Wars Story (Michael Giacchino) . Seventeen tracks are already available as digital singles and three can be checked out after the jump and the full album will be released digitally on January 30. DNA-Productions has released a soundtrack album for the drama 12 Hours in October. The album features the film’s original score composed by Lionel Cohen (Mob Town, Bardejov, First We Take Brooklyn, The Engineer, The Perfect Gamble, Inside ManFeral StateMob Cops). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Abeckaser and stars Doron Ben David, Yakov Zada, Montana Tucker, Marina Maximilian Blumin, Ariel Yagen, Hadar Shitrit, Herzel Tobey and Chanel Omar. The movie is inspired by the events of October 7, 2023 and shows the terror and chaos from the perspectives of everyday people, including a husband and wife deciding whether to have a baby, a newly engaged couple celebrating with friends, and a young mother with two small kids. The film is directed by Eric Appel and stars Nate Bargatze, Mandy Moore, Colin Jost, Zach Cherry, Martin Herlihy, Kate Berlant, Kumail Nanjiani and Will Forte. The movie follows the misadventures of a husband and father whose wife lands a once-in-a-lifetime deal on Shark Tank that takes her on a prolonged business trip and now to fend for his family as a first-time stay-at-home dad. The album features the composer’s original score from the film and is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. Plaza Mayor Company has released a soundtrack album for the Spanish/Uruguayan psychological thriller Subsuelo. The album features the film’s original music composed by Maite Arroitajauregi (Irati, Foremost by Night, Mercenario). Subsuelo is co-written and directed by Fernando Franco and stars Julia Martínez, Diego Garisa, Nacho Sánchez, Montse Díez, Iñigo de la Iglesia, Itzan Escamilla and Sonia Almarcha. The movie is based on Marcelo Luján‘s novel of the same name and follows two young twin siblings who become involved in a tragic accident one summer night, but the circumstances seem to be known only by themselves and their mother. ‘Film Club’ Soundtrack Album Released

Bucks Records has released a soundtrack album for the BBC comedy drama Film Club. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Nathan Klein (Ludwig, Psycho Therapy, The Beast Within101 Dalmatian Street, MH370: The Plane That Disappeared, McGregor Forever). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s title track after the jump. Film Club is created by Aimee Lou Wood & Ralph Davis and stars Wood herself, Nabhaan Rizwan, Suranne Jones, Owen Cooper, Arian Nik, Liv Hill, Lisa McGrillis and Fola Evans-Akingbola. The series follows a young woman who starts a film club to spend a few uninterrupted hours with her best friend as a weekly escape from her eccentricity family, her frustrating neighbor and her handsome boyfriend. Mac Quayle (Mr. Robot, American Horror Story, Leave the World Behind, Feud: Bette and Joan, American Crime Story, GaslitMonster: The Ed Gein Story) has composed the original score for the new Netflix limited series His & Hers. The show is developed by William Oldroyd (Lady Macbeth, Eileen) based on Alice Feeney’s 2020 novel of the same name and stars Tessa Thompson, Jon Bernthal, Pablo Schreiber, Marin Ireland, Rebecca Rittenhouse, Sunita Mani and Crystal Fox. The 6-part thriller follows two estranged spouses — one a detective, the other a news reporter — as they vie to solve a murder in which each believes the other is a prime suspect. La-La Land Records has announced the world premiere “commercial” CD release of the soundtrack for the 1996 crime thriller Bound written and directed by the Wachowski siblings and starring Jennifer Tilly, Gina Gershon, John Ryan and Joe Pantoliano. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Don Davis (The Matrix, Jurassic Park III, The Matrix ReloadedThe Matrix Revolutions, Valentine, Behind Enemy Lines). Also included as a bonus track is a recording of the composer’s concert piece Illicit Felicity inspired by the film score, performed by pianist Jenny Lin (previously released as a digital single). The 30th Anniversary Edition is limited to 1,000 copies and is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio clips.
