Varese Sarabande has announced a new deluxe edition soundtrack album for the 1995 sci-fi horror movie Village of the Damned directed by John Carpenter and starring Christopher Reeve, Kirstie Alley, Linda Kozlowski, Michael Paré, Mark Hamill and Meredith Salenger. The 2-CD set features the film’s original music composed by John Carpenter (Halloween, The Fog, Big Trouble in Little China, Escape from New York) himself and Kinks guitarist Dave Davies, including the original score on the first disc and the content of the 1995 original soundtrack album, plus bonus tracks on the second disc. Varese Sarabande has announced the latest titles in its CD club series, including a deluxe edition soundtrack for DreamWorks Animation’s 2010 original How to Train Your Dragon movie directed by Chris Sanders & Dean DeBlois and starring Jay Baruchel, Gerard Butler, Craig Ferguson, America Ferrera, Jonah Hill, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, T.J. Miller and Kristen Wiig. The album features the complete Academy Award-nominated original score from the film composed by John Powell (The Bourne Identity, Solo: A Star Wars Story, Happy Feet), including previously unreleased music, alternate versions and demos. Milan Records will release the official soundtrack album for the psychological horror thriller Saint Maud. The album features the film’s original music composed by Adam Janota Bzowski. The full details of the Bond 25 tribute album have been revealed. The album features new arrangements of all official James Bond title themes newly recorded with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at Abbey Road Studios in London. Among the tracks included on the album are Goldfinger, From Russia With Love, Diamonds Are Forever, Live And Let Die, The Man With The Golden Gun, For Your Eyes Only, GoldenEye, The World Is Not Enough, You Know My Name and the Oscar-winning Skyfall. The RPO’s recording of Billie Eilish’s No Time to Die will already be available digitally tomorrow (click here to stream/download the track). The full soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on September 23, 2022 (pushed back from the original November 13, 2020 release date) by Decca Records. The romantic comedy revolves around a Chicago marketing exec who – after anding her dream job in Paris – embraces her adventurous new life while juggling work, friends and romance.
