Opening in theaters nationwide today is the horror thriller Separation directed by William Brent Bell and starring Rupert Friend, Brian Cox, Mamie Gummer, Madeline Brewer, Eric T. Miller, Violet McGraw and Simon Quarterman. The film’s original music is composed by Brett Detar (Brahms: The Boy II, The Devil Inside, Wer). MovieScore Media has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Opening semi-wide in a couple of hundred theaters before coming out on VOD on May 21 is the drama Four Good Days directed by Rodrigo García and starring Mila Kunis, Glenn Close and Stephen Root. Edward Shearmur (Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, Escape at Dannemora, Cruel Intentions, Charlie’s Angels, Johnny English) has composed the film’s original score. No word on a score release. ‘Jupiter’s Legacy’ Soundtrack Album Announced

Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Jupiter’s Legacy. The album features selections of the original score from the show composed by Stephanie Economou (Manhunt: Deadly Games, Step Up: High Water, Marvel’s 616). The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, May 7 and is now available for pre-order here. A first track (Union of Justice) was already released today and can be checked out after the jump. Jupiter’s Legacy is developed by Steven S. DeKnight based on the graphic novels by Mark Millar & Frank Quitely and stars Josh Duhamel, Ben Daniels, Leslie Bibb, Andrew Horton, Elena Kampouris, Matt Lanter, Mike Wade, Tenika Davis, Ian Quinlan, David Julian Hirsh and Tyler Mane. 21 Savage’s ‘Spiral’ Title Song Released

Slaughter Gang & Epic Records have released the title song from the Saw reboot Spiral. The track is written and performed by 21 Savage (who also serves as the executive producer of the film’s soundtrack) who incorporated Charlie Clouser’s Hello Zepp theme from his Saw scores into the track. Kid Hazel produced the song, which is now available on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. Also check out the official music video after the jump. The album features the show’s original music composed and produced by Neil Davidge (Unleashed, Push, Halo 4, Britannia, Monsters: Dark Continent, Hard Sun, Good People). ‘Knowing’ & ‘Lionheart’ Deluxe Edition Soundtracks Announced

Varese Sarabande has announced the latest titles in its CD Club series, including a deluxe edition soundtrack for the 2009 sci-fi thriller Knowing directed by Alex Proyas and starring Nicolas Cage, Rose Byrne and Chandler Canterbury. The album features the expanded original score from the movie composed by Academy Award nominee Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma, Scream, A Quiet Place, The Hurt Locker, Logan, The Wolverine, Ford v. Ferrari), including around 50 minutes of previously unreleased music. The 2-CD set is limited to 1,500 copies and is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. The details of the full soundtrack album for the new Netflix anime series Yasuke have been revealed. The album features selection of the original music from the show composed by Flying Lotus (Imperial Dreams, Perfect, An Oversimplification of Her Beauty) The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 30 and will be available to stream/download here. A CD & vinyl edition will be coming out on September 24 and is available to order on Amazon. The label has previously released the opening titles and closing credits music earlier this month. Yasuke is created by LeSean Thomas and stars LaKeith Stanfield, Takehiro Hira, Maya Tanida, Gwendoline Yeo, Ian Chen, Ming-Na Wen, Noshir Dalal, Paul Nakauchi, Darren Criss and Dia Frampton. The series tells the story of a peaceful boatman once known as the Black Samurai as he is pulled back into conflict when he takes a little girl with mysterious powers under his wing. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by Antonio Pinto (City of God, Amy, McFarland, USA, Senna, Lord of War, Nine Days, The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind). Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for the animated feature The Mitchells vs. The Machines. Composer Howard Shore (The Lord of the Rings, The Silence of the Lambs, The Aviator, Hugo, The Hobbit) is set to reteam with David Cronenberg on the upcoming sci-fi thriller Crimes of the Future. The film is written and directed by Cronenberg and will star Viggo Mortensen, Léa Seydoux, Kristen Stewart, Scott Speedman, Welket Bungué, Don McKellar and Lihi Kornowski. The movie is set in the not-so-distant future where humankind is learning to adapt to its synthetic surroundings and follows a performance artist who has embraced “Accelerated Evolution Syndrome”, sprouting new and unexpected organs in his body and has turned the removal of these organs into a spectacle for his loyal followers.
