Decca Records has released a soundtrack album for the Australian crime thriller The Dry. The album features the film’s original music composed by Peter Raeburn (Woodshock, Nancy, Photograph, Molly Moon and the Incredible Book of Hypnotism). The full details of the new soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Cobra Kai have been revealed. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s third season composed by Leo Birenberg (Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, Son of ZornPEN15, Tigtone) & Zach Robinson (Impractical Jokers: The Movie, F*&% the Prom). The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, January 8 by Madison Gate Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label has previously released the composers’ score from the first and second season. Hasbro will release a new soundtrack album for the second part of the Netflix original anime series Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy. The album features selections of the original music from the second part of the trilogy (Earthrise) composed by Alexander Bornstein (First to the Moon, Black Site Delta, ParadoxThe Last Heist). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, January 1 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music stores. The composer’s score from the first part of the trilogy (Siege) was released this past summer. H.E.R. has recorded an original song for the upcoming biographical drama Judas and the Black Messiah. The track, entitled Fight for You, is co-written by herself, Dernst ‘D’Mile’ Emile II & Tiara Thomas and will be featured in the movie directed by Shaka King and starring Daniel Kaluuya, LaKeith Stanfield, Jesse Plemons, Dominique Fishback, Ashton Sanders and Martin Sheen. Jazz trombonist Craig Harris and Mark Isham (Crash, Once Upon a Time, Miracle, A River Runs Through It) have teamed up to compose the original score for the film, which tells the story of Chairman Fred Hampton who was 21 years old when he was assassinated by the FBI, who coerced a petty criminal named William O’Neal to help them silence him and the Black Panther Party. Claude Bolling has passed away yesterday at age 90 in Paris, France. The French composer and jazz pianist has scored dozens of films and TV movies/shows between the late 1950s and early 2000s. Among his best known feature credits are Herbert Ross’ California Suite, Mike Newell’s The Awakening, Jacques Deray’s Golden Globe-nominated crime drama Borsalino and the director’s Flic Story, Blood on the Streets & Three Men to Kill, Philippe de Broca’s Le Magnifique, René Goscinny’s Lucky Luke, José Giovanni’s The Gypsy, Marcel Camus’ Atlantic Wall, Dick Clements’ Catch Me a Spy and Daniel Petrie’s The Bad Boy. The film stars Anne Hathaway and Chiwetel Ejiofor as a couple who find life has other plans when they are stuck at home in a mandatory lockdown and call a truce to attempt a high-risk, high-stakes jewellery heist at one of the world’s most exclusive department store, Harrods. Ben Stiller, Stephen Merchant, Lucy Boynton, Ben Kingsley, Mindy Kaling and Dule Hill are co-starring.
