La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1989 slasher movie Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan directed by Rob Hedden and starring Jensen Daggett, Scott Reeves, Peter Mark Richman and Kane Hodder. The album features the film’s original music composed and performed by Fred Mollin (Fast Company, Screwballs II) who also co-scored the previous installment in the series (Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood) with Harry Manfredini. Also included are four previously unreleased songs from the movie from Mollin’s and songwriter Stan Meissner’s personal archives. John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, Iron Man 2, The Jungle Book, Elf, Hocus Pocus, The Emperor’s New Groove) is scoring the new Disney+ original series The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers. The show is based on the 1992 The Mighty Ducks feature film (scored by David Newman) and stars Lauren Graham, Emilio Estevez, Brady Noon, Maxwell Simkins, Swayam Bhatia, Luke Islam, Kiefer O’Reilly, Taegen Burns, Bella Higginbotham and DJ Watts. The drama is set in present day Minnesota and follows a 12-year old boy who failed to make the cut to join the Mighty Ducks junior hockey team and is encouraged by his mother to form a new team of underdogs with help from Gordon Bombay, the Ducks’ original coach. La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 60s sci-fi series The Time Tunnel created by Irwin Allen and starring James Darren, Robert Colbert, Whit Bissell, John Zaremba and Lee Meriwether. The first volume in The Time Tunnel soundtrack collection features the original music from several episodes of the show composed by John Williams (as Johnny Williams) (Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jaws, Jurassic Park), Lyn Murray (To Catch a Thief, Gunsmoke), Paul Sawtell (Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Jack the Giant Killer) and Robert Drasnin (Mission: Impossible, Lost in Space). The 3-CD set, which is limited to 1,000 copies, is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the full album details and listen to audio samples.

‘Ku’damm 63’ Soundtrack to Be Released

Bavaria Sonor Records will release a soundtrack album for the German mini-series Ku’damm 63. The album features the show’s original music composed by Karim Sebastian Elias (Treasure Island, Saudi Runaway, Of Fathers and Sons, Siegfried) and performed by the Brandenburgisches Staatsorchester . The soundtrack will be released digitally this coming Friday, March 19 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Ku’damm 63 created by Annette Hess is the followup to 2016’s Ku’damm 56 and 2018’s Ku’damm 59 and tells the story of Germany’s halting evolution toward larger justice and liberty told through the loves, hard-won freedoms and suffering of three sisters.
