The first two track from the soundtrack for the Amazon original series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power have been released. Available to stream now exclusively on Amazon Music are the tracks Galadriel & Sauron written by the show’s composer Bear McCreary (Godzilla: King of the Monsters, 10 Cloverfield Lane, The Walking Dead, Outlander, Battlestar Galactica, Happy Death Day). Details about the release of more music from McCreary’s score from the first season and the show’s main title theme by Howard Shore (who scored The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies) are expected to be announced soon.

Matthew Margeson to Score Disney Junior’s ‘Young Jedi Adventures’
Matthew Margeson (Kingsman series, Rocketman, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, Pam & Tommy, Eddie the Eagle) has been hired to score Lucasfilm’s upcoming animated series Young Jedi Adventures. The show, which marks the first animated Star Wars series created for preschoolers, will follow a group of Younglings as they are swept off into adventures, and start their journeys on the path to becoming Jedi Knights, learning valuable skills for our galaxy and the galaxy far, far away. Michael Olson (Puppy Dog Pals) serves as the project’s showrunner and is also executive producing the series with James Waugh (Star Wars: Vision).
Soundtrack Album for Cartoon Network’s ‘Teen Titans’ to Be Released
Dynamic Soundtrack Records will release the first soundtrack album for the Cartoon Network animated series Teen Titans. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Lolita Ritmanis, Kristopher Carter & Michael McCuistion (aka Dynamic Music Partners) (Young Justice, Justice League, Batman: The Animated Series, Avengers Assemble, Batman: The Brave and the Bold). The Vol. 1 soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 21 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Teen Titans is created by Glen Murakami & Sam Register and features the voices of Greg Cipes, Scott Menville, Tara Strong, Khary Payton and Hynden Walch.
Bobby Krlic (The Haxan Cloak) Scoring Amazon’s ‘Paper Girls’
Bobby Krlic (aka The Haxan Cloak) (Midsommar, The Alienist: Angel of Darkness, Triple 9, Seven Seconds) is scoring the new Amazon original series Paper Girls. The show is developed by Stephany Folsom (Toy Story 4) based on the best-selling graphic novels written by Brian K. Vaughan (Under the Dome, Y: The Last Man) and illustrated by Cliff Chiang and stars Camryn Jones, Riley Lai Nelet, Sofia Rosinsky, Fina Strazza, Ali Wong, Nate Corddry and Adina Porter. The sci-fi drama follows four young friends who unknowingly time travel to 2019 when their paper routes are disrupted in 1988 and must figure out a way to get back home to the past.
‘Hotel Portofino’ Soundtrack Album Announced
Silva Screen Records has announced a soundtrack album for the British TV series Hotel Portofino. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by Stefano Cabrera (Terry Pratchett’s The Abominable Snow Baby). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, July 22 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Hotel Portofino is created by Matt Baker and stars Natascha McElhone, Mark Umbers, Anna Chancellor, Oliver Dench, Pasquale Esposito, Assad Zaman, Imogen King, Adam James, Elizabeth Carling, Olivia Morris and Lily Frazer. The period drama follows an elite yet dysfunctional British family who open a hotel for upper-class travelers on the magical Italian Riviera during the Roaring ‘20s in the traumatic aftermath of World War I.
Jeremy Holland-Smith Scoring Netflix’s ‘Scrooge: A Christmas Carol’
Netflix announced today that Jeremy Holland-Smith (The Passing, The League of Gentlemen, The Dumping Ground, Frankie) has composed the original score for the upcoming Netflix animated feature Scrooge: A Christmas Carol. The composer has also arranged and produced the re-imagined songs written by late Academy Award winner Leslie Bricusse for the movie, which is directed by Stephen Donnelly (Monster High: Welcome to Monster High) and features the voices of Luke Evans, Olivia Colman, Jessie Buckley, Johnny Flynn, Fra Fee, Giles Terera, Trevor Dion Nicholas, James Cosmo and Jonathan Pryce.
