Composer Blake Neely (Masters of the Air, The Flash, The Flight Attendant, Arrow, Greyhound, Everwood, The Pacific, Riverdale, Life As We Know It) is reteaming with director Ryan White on the upcoming Netflix original documentary Into the Fire: The Lost Daughter. The 2-part film centers on Cathy Terkanian, a tenacious mother who unravels the complex mystery surrounding the 1989 disappearance of the daughter she placed for adoption.
‘What If…? – An Immersive Story’ Soundtrack to Be Released
Hollywood Records & Marvel Music will release a soundtrack album for the first-ever interactive Disney+ original story What If…? – An Immersive Story. The album features the original music from the mixed reality experience composed by Academy Award nominee Laura Karpman (American Fiction, The Marvels, Ms. Marvel, Set It Up, Lovecraft Country, Taken, Paris Can Wait) and Nora Kroll-Rosenbaum (Stockholm, Pennsylvania, Regarding Susan Sontag, Prisoner’s Daughter, Bird Karma) who are also scoring the What If…? animated series. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 16 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Bear McCreary’s & Rufus Wainwright’s Song ‘Old Tom Bombadil’ from ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ Season 2 Released
Amazon Content Services has released the track from the soundtrack for the second season of the Prime Video original series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. Available to stream/download now on most major digital music services is Old Tom Bombadil by the show’s composer Bear McCreary (Outlander, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, 10 Cloverfield Lane, The Walking Dead) feat. vocals by Rufus Wainwright. A first track (The Last Ballad of Damrod by McCreary & Jens Kidman) has already been released last Thursday and the full soundtrack album will be coming out on August 23.
Gabriel Mann Scoring Netflix’s ‘Emily in Paris’ Season 4
Gabriel Mann (Modern Family, A Million Little Things, Better Nate Than Never, Rosewood , Rectify, High School Musical: The Musical – The Series) is the new composer of the Netflix original series Emily in Paris. He has composed the score for the fourth season of the show created by Darren Star and starring Lily Collins, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Lucas Bravo, Ashley Park, Camille Razat, Samuel Arnold, William Abadie, Bruno Gouery and Lucien Laviscount. Chris Alan Lee has previously scored the first three seasons of the comedy and James Newton Howard is credited as providing the “original theme music.”
‘Shōgun’ Vol. 2 Soundtrack Album to Be Released
Hollywood Records will release a new soundtrack album for the FX original series Shōgun. The album features previously unreleased music from the show’s first season composed by Atticus Ross (The Social Network, Watchmen, Soul, Gone Girl), Leopold Ross (Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, The Book of Eli, Death Note) and Nick Chuba (Thelma, The Girl from Plainville, Dr. Death) who have recently received an Emmy Award nomination for their score. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, August 16 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. The label has previously released the original soundtrack back in February and Mutant has announced a vinyl edition. Shōgun is developed by Rachel Kondo & Justin Marks based on James Clavell’s classic novel and stars Cosmo Jarvis, Hiroyuki Sanada, Anna Sawai, Takehiro Hira, Hiroto Kanai, Tadanobu Asano, Shinnosuke Abe, Tokuma Nishioka, Moeka Hoshi, Yuka Kouri, Yuki Kura and Fumi Nikaido.
Devonté Hynes Scoring BBC’s ‘The Listeners’
Devonté Hynes(aka Blood Orange) (Queen & Slim, We Are Who We Are, Master Gardener, Palo Alto, Passing, Mainstream) is the composer of the upcoming BBC drama The Listeners. The show is written by Jordan Tannahill based on his novel of the same title and stars Rebecca Hall, Prasanna Puwanarajah, Gayle Rankin, Mia Tharia, Amr Waked, Ollie West, Franc Ashman, Karen Henthorn, Samuel Edward-Cook, Lucy Sheen and Ian Mercer. The series directed by Janicza Bravo (Zola) revolves around a popular English teacher who begins to hear a low humming sound that no one else around her can hear and strikes up an unlikely and intimate friendship with a student of hers who can also hear the sound.

Netflix Music will release a soundtrack album for the streamer’s original true crime documentary series American Murder: Laci Peterson. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Jimmy Stofer (Girl in the Picture, Icahn: The Restless Billionaire, The Truth About Jim).
