The film is directed by Stephen Frears (Dangerous Liaisons, Dirty Pretty Things) and stars Sally Hawkins, Steve Coogan and Harry Lloyd. The movie tells the true story of Philippa Langley, the woman who uncovered King Richard III’s remains which had been lost for 500 years in 2012. Coogan also co-wrote the screenplay with Jeff Pope (Philomena, Stan & Ollie).

David Arnold to Score Greg Mottola’s ‘Confess, Fletch’
Composer David Arnold (Independence Day, Casino Royale, Stargate, Sherlock, Tomorrow Never Dies, Shaft, Die Another Day, Godzilla) is reuniting with director Greg Mottola on the upcoming comedy Confess, Fletch. The movie is based on the second novel of Gregory Mcdonald’s 1970s mystery novel series (which has previously been adapted into the Harold-Faltermeyer-scored 80s features Fletch & Fletch Lives) and stars Jon Hamm, Marcia Gay Harden, Kyle MacLachlan, Roy Wood Jr., John Slattery, Annie Mumolo, Ayden Mayeri and Lorenza Izzo. The movie follows an investigative journalist who finds himself in the middle of a murder investigation, in which he is pinned as the prime suspect.

Joseph Trapanese (Oblivion, Shadow and Bone, The Witcher, The Greatest Showman, Straight Outta Compton, Lady and the Tramp, Arctic, Only the Brave) has composed the original score for the upcoming comedy The Machine. The film is directed by Peter Atencio (Keanu) and stars Bert Kreischer, Mark Hamill, Jess Gabor, Stephanie Kurtzuba and Jimmy Tatro. The movie is inspired by Kreischer’s real-life adventures and subsequent breakout stand-up routine, in which his past catches up with him when he and his father are kidnapped by those he wronged 20 years ago while drunk on a college semester abroad in Russia.
Jon Ekstrand to Score Lasse Hallström’s ‘Hilma’
Jon Ekstrand has signed on to score the upcoming biographical drama Hilma. The film is written and directed by Hallström (The Cider House Rules, What’s Eating Gilbert Grape) and stars Lena Olin, Tora Hallström, Lily Cole, Rebecca Calder, Maeve Dermody and Catherine Chalk. The movie explores the life of Swedish artist and feminist pioneer Hilma af Klint who navigated through a male-dominated artistic scene to eventually become one of the Western world’s first abstract artists. Helena Danielsson (The Childhood of a Leader, Beyond) is producing the NENT Studios production.

The film is directed by Elizabeth Banks (Pitch Perfect 2, Charlie’s Angels) and stars Keri Russell, O’Shea Jackson, Ray Liotta, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Alden Ehrenreich, Margo Martindale, Kristofer Hivju, Brooklynn Prince, Christian Convery, Kahyun Kim and Scott Seiss. The movie is inspired by true events, which took place in Kentucky in 1985, involving a real-life 175-pound bear who died of an apparent cocaine overdose. Jimmy Warden (The Babysitter: Killer Queen) wrote the screenplay.

Roger Neill (20th Century Women, Beginners, King of the Hill, Mozart in the Jungle, Unpregnant) has composed the original score for the film written and directed by Jared Frieder and starring Sivan himself, Viveik Kalra, Brianne Tju, Ellen Burstyn, Judy Greer, Javier Munoz, Louis Gossett, Jr. and Amy Landecker.
