Shogun Music has released a digital version of the soundtrack for the 2012 comedy drama The Angels’ Share directed by Ken Loach, written by Paul Laverty and starring Paul Brannigan, John Henshaw, Gary Maitland and William Ruane. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award nominee George Fenton (Dangerous Liaisons, Groundhog Day, Anna and the King, Hitch, Gandhi, The Blue Planet, Ever After). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. Quartet Records has previously released a CD version, which also includes two songs by The Proclaimers and Deadmau5, when the movie opened in the U.S. in early 2013.

The full details of the soundtrack album for the Disney+ original movie Hollywood Stargirl have been revealed. The album features the songs from the film performed by lead actress Grace VanderWaal and other cast members, including the original songs Figure It Out co-written by VanderWaal herself and Heaven Knows written by the show’s executive music producer Michael Penn (Girls), as well as covers of Blondie’s Dreaming, Brian Wilson’s Love and Mercy and Cass Elliot’s Make Your Own Kind of Music. 1812 Recordings will release a soundtrack album for the British comedy Brian and Charles. The movie follows a lonely inventor in rural Wales who spends his days building quirky, unconventional contraptions that seldom work, when he invents an artificially intelligent robot who learns English from a dictionary and has an obsession with cabbages.
‘Unbranded’ Soundtrack to Be Released
Neumeark Music will release the first-ever soundtrack album for the 2015 documentary Unbranded directed by Phillip Baribeau. The album features the film’s original music composed by Noah Sorota (Falling Skies, Resident Alien, Jinn, The Gracefield Incident, Reverie). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, June 1 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Universal Music Germany has released a soundtrack album for the animated feature Mia and Me: The Hero of Centopia. Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1993 period comedy Matinee directed by Joe Dante and starring John Goodman, Cathy Moriarty, Simon Fenton, Omri Katz, Kellie Martin and Lisa Jakub. The album features the film’s complete original score composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Chinatown, Planet of the Apes, Poltergeist, Basic Instinct, L.A. Confidential, Patton, Gremlins), including previously unreleased music and several alternate cues.
