Composer Koji Endo is reteaming with director on the upcoming action thriller Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo. The film starring Shun Oguri, Lily James, Shotaro Mamiya, Liv Morgan, Hiroshi Tachi & Jun Kunimura follows a disgraced Tokyo detective who spirals into a world of corruption, addiction, and violence as he becomes entangled in a twister investigation involving an enigmatic FBI agent, a vengeful ex-Yakuza, and a missing daughter of a powerful American family. Daisuke Tengan wrote the screenplay.

Amazon Content Services has released a soundtrack album for the Latin American Prime Video original series Cathedrals (Catedrales). The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Hernán Segret (Maledictions, Club Hooligans, Cromañon, Nothing Between Us, The Broken Land). Also included is the original song Volverán las Oscuras Golondrinas written by Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer, produced by Segret and performed by Sandra Mihanovich. Bryce Dessner Scoring Netflix’s ‘Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story’
Bryce Dessner (of The National) (Train Dreams, The Two Popes, Sing Sing, We Live in Time, Cyrano, The Accountant 2, Bardo, She Came to Me, Manhunt, A Good Person, Widow Cliquot) has recently composed the original music for the new Netflix limited series Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story. The show is created by Ian Brennan (Glee, Hollywood) and stars Ella Beatty, Vicky Krieps, Charlie Hunnam, Rebecca Hall, Joey Pollari, Jessica Barden, Billie Lourd and Sarah Paulson. The fourth installment of the Monster anthology series (following 2022’s The Jeffrey Dahmer Story scored by Nick Cave & Warren Ellis, 2024’s The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story scored by Thomas & Julia Newman and last year’s The Ed Gein Story scored by Mac Quayle) explores the case of Lizzie Borden who – trapped in a cruel Victorian-era household – kills her parents in a gory ax murder that shocks the nation.

Original End Credits Song ‘Away from Home’ from HBO’s ‘Lanterns’ Episode 5 Released
WaterTower Music has released the original end credits song Away from Home (Rushville’s Lament) from the fifth episode (entitled Lights Out) of DC Studios’ HBO original series Lanterns. The track written by the show’s composer Stephanie Economou and performed by Ari Mason & Wayne Ingram is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Christian Garcia-Gaucher (The Father of My Children, My Little Children, L’expérience Blocher) has released the first-ever soundtrack album for the 2016 French/Swiss drama Moka directed by Frédéric Mermoudand and starring Emmanuelle Devos, Nathalie Baye, David Clavel. The album features the composer’s original score from the film and is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list. Moka based on Tatiana de Rosnay’s novel of the same title follows a grieving woman who pursues a couple who she suspects of killing her son in a hit-and-run.
Kris Bowers Scoring Jonathan Levine’s ‘Mr. Irrelevant’
Kris Bowers (The Wild Robot, Bridgerton, Green Book, GOAT, Spider-Noir, The Color Purple, Haunted Mansion, Secret Invasion, Space Jam: A New Legacy, Dear White People) has provided the original score for the upcoming biographical sports drama Mr. Irrelevant. The film is directed by Jonathan Levine (Warm Bodies, The Night Before) and stars David Corenswet, Isabel May, David Krumholtz, Thaddeus LaGrone, Tuwaine Barrett, Alexander England, Tandi Wright, Spencer House and Michael Shannon. The movie tells the true story of John Tuggle, the last player selected in the last round of the 1983 NFL draft by the New York Giants, who defied expectations on the field and off for his then first-year head coach, his newfound love and his team.
