Premiering in the U.S. this Thursday, November 8, is the British mini-series The Cry directed by Glendyn Ivin and starring Jenna Coleman, Ewen Leslie, Stella Gonet, Sophie Kennedy Clark, Asher Keddie and Alex Dimitriades. Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, Home, The Lego Batman Movie, The Crown, Genius) has composed the original music for the 4-part series. The drama premiered a couple of weeks ago in the UK on BBC and will make its U.S. debut on Sundance Now.
Premiering on Friday, November 9, is the Netflix docu-series Medal of Honor executive produced by James Moll, Robert Zemeckis, Jack Rapke, Jacqueline Levine and Brandon Birtell. The show’s original music is composed by Jasha Klebe (Planet Earth II, Diana: In Her Own Words). The series, which tells the true stories of eight recipients of the nation’s highest and most prestigious award: the Medal of Honor, will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
Also premiering on Friday is the German Amazon original series Beat directed by Marco Kreuzpaintner and starring Jannis Niewöhner, Karoline Herfurth, Christian Berkel, Alexander Fehling and Kostja Ullmann. Ben Lukas Boysen (aka Hecq) (Manifesto) has composed the show’s original music. Great Escape Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as electronic music tracks by Van Der Meer, Matthew Dear, Efdemin, dotwav & others. Premiering on Saturday, November 10, is the Hallmark Channel original movie It’s Christmas, Eve directed by Tibor Takács and starring LeeAnn Rimes and Tyler Hynes. Rimes has contributed original songs to the film, which is scored by Michael Richard Plowman (Age of Heroes, A Lonely Place to Die). EverLe Records has released a soundtrack album featuring Rimes’ songs, as well as a suite from Plowman’s score.
